Alexa, Alastor and Daniel Go In
Author: Aaron Miller
Date:   08-03-11 15:14

"Alexa, in for Wiggy. Alastor in for Jade. Daniel, you're going in as well."

As there is only one Hogwarts keeper in the match there's no need for Daniel to be told who he's the substitution for. Both Gus and Hunter had done really well so as he flies into position Daniel hopes that he can do just as well. He knows he's capable and doesn't feel off or out of sorts or anything like that and was fine in practice this morning. That doesn't mean he won't flub things now. Daniel has confidence he won't but is also aware that things do go wrong sometimes and that being overconfident is one of the fastest ways to ensure mistakes happen.

Daniel will have to wait a little longer to find out if he's on his mark today or not. Hogwarts has the quaffle and are just over the far side of mid-pitch from him. Olive and Alexa are passing back and forth, constantly working the quaffle forward towards the Salem kept hoops while Deak scoots ahead, helping keep the straight line path they're on clear. Caerwyn has just effectively used a bludger to stop Irma Lassiter from stealing when Olive makes a bad catch, but then Irma ends up getting the quaffle anyway when a bludger, hit by Marshall Standish, connects just right with Olive and she drops the ball.

Irma is in a spring towards Daniel, hoping to reach him before anyone hinders her. Alexa is having none of that and quickly catches up with the other girl. Alastor attempts to slow Irma down with a bludger but Irma dodges it then passes off to Ross Trescott. Ross hangs on to the quaffle, bringing the quaffle in closer. He does eventually pass to Sarah Whitfield but Daniel thinks that's only because Deak was being a pest. Good for Deak!

It's Sarah who is the first to get the quaffle past Daniel. It's a really bad throw though, well clear of the hoop on his left. So obviously such a bad shot that he only moved in the event that he could catch it to ensure possession returned to Hogwarts. Olive and Ross vy to get there with Ross just barely beating Olive to it. He throws hard to Irma, who's in front of the hoops and in a position to try for a goal. She lets the quaffle go, aiming it at what looks like center but Daniel can see a spin on it that he correctly deduces will have the quaffle veering off to the right. He moves to his right, stopping the ball, then puts it back into play with a toss to Alexa.

Alexa rockets forward, waiting to pass until there's a little more room. Around the hoops she felt hemmed in by the Salem chasers. Now, with a bit of distance between her and Daniel, she executes a nice pass to Deak who carries the ball further up the pitch. Olive has climbed at a gentle angle and now above most of the others she levels off and shoots forward, accelerating, plastered low over her broom, then coming parallel to Deak, drops back down to approximately the same level, ready to be a bludger blocker if needed or to accept a pass. Meanwhile, Alexa has been speeding along, slightly behind and to the right of Deak.

Ross has looped around in front of the Hogwarts chasers and is now barreling at them head on. Deak doesn't seem perturbed and isn't going to be the one to chicken out first. He does pass to Alexa but he stays flying straight at Ross. It's Ross who ends up being the chicken, diving down at the last possible second, frowning at Deak and somehow missing the fact that it's Alexa with the quaffle. That works fine for her but too bad Sarah and Irma both know and are trying to relieve her of the ball.

Alastor comes to Alexa's assistance, smashing a bludger at Irma then going after the second bludger to hit at Sarah. Caerwyn's already there though, his line of thinking similar to Alastor's. The bludger is on track to hit Sarah but Zelda Piccoli stops it before it can reach the girl. Marshall tries to get to the one Alastor hit at Irma but can't reach it in time. After Irma is clear of it, Marshall prepares to hit it at Alexa but Alastor is already on a path to intercept. He reaches it and redirects again at Irma. Alexa passes to Olive who is now the target of a bludger from Zelda. Alastor races to get there as Alexa, Olive, and Deak move the quaffle ever closer to the other end of the pitch.

The Gang's All Here
Author: Julian Valentine
Date:   08-03-11 16:36

In the stands Julian cheers for a little more loudly as Caewyn flies past the stand he, Lysander, Grace, Charlotte, Astrid, Briar, and his parents are in. Lisette Valentine has never been much of a Quidditch fan but one thing Julian has to give her credit for is that when he was playing, the only match she did stay the entire time for was because she had a funeral to attend. She'd come to that match dressed for the funeral and stayed for forty-five minutes before walking to the school's main gates to apparate to the funeral, pulling Tiberius along with her because he would have much rather stayed for the entire match. Since learning she has a grandson and since that grandson has been on a school team, Lisette has been almost as good about attending Caerwyn's matches. When she does miss it's with good reason. That today's game is in the south of France, which has meant a perfect excuse to spend the morning shopping and for Dad to try his hand at a few games of chance in a wizarding casino meant that Tiberius and Lisette were in France hours before Julian and the others left Hogsmeade.

Julian hadn't been sure Lysander would come today. In the days leading up to the match when asked he'd say, "No. I'll stay here to mind the shoppe." Lysander alone for a good portion of the day meant Lysander stewing, getting even more worked up about what had happened with Kristos Fox the weekend before. That's why all week Julian's been encouraging Lysander to come with them to the championship match. When Lysander would say someone needed to oversee Twice Told Tales, he was not above using the same tactic Lisette uses against him. "That's why we have employees." Julian also shamelessly encouraged Charlotte to ask Lysander to come. He knows all too well just what a pushover Lysander is when his precious little girl stands before him, eyes big and pleading, lower lip ever so slightly pushing out, pleading, "Pleeeeeeease, Daddy."

As Lysander does seem to be enjoying the match, Julian thinks he did the right think in getting his friend here. Before Chyler died, Lysander was better at keeping his cool but he only really got bad after taking custody of Charlotte. The man has been a tightly wound spring since then, determined not to let anything happen to Charlotte. Kristos Fox was a very big threat so Julian is not about to judge Lysander for what he did. If someone were to pose a threat like that to Grace or Caerwyn, Merlin help the person because Julian would not hestitate to protect his kids, no matter what it took.

Caerwyn zips past their area of the stands again, this time waving and grinning at them. He's so happy they all came and can't stop thinking about how awesome it would be to see him help Hogwarts win the IQT championship. Last night at this huge party for all the teams in the tournament they saw the trophies everyone gets. If Hogwarts wins, the trophy is as tall as Caerwyn and probably weighs as much. There are also trophies for each team member with the winning team's idividual trophies the biggest, nicest of the lot. Caerwyn thinks it would look pretty grand on the fireplace mantle or maybe even displayed somewhere in the shoppe.

He reaches the bludger he'd been chasing down and bats it, though not overly hard. That hit was merely to change its direction. That done, he swings around and bats the heck out of it, aiming for Ross Trescott who grabbed the quaffle on a rebound at Deak and made a goal attempt.

After hitting the bludger Caerwyn doesn't linger. With that bludger well on its way, the other bludger is now closer and if he sprints he can get there before anyone else. The only way he'd not race to get it were if Alastor was clearly going after it. Alastor though is over near where Caerwyn just hit one bludger. Out of the corner of his eye Caerwyn sees that Alastor is waiting for the bludger to do its job. Caerwyn reaches the other bludger and sends it after Sarah Whitfield this time. Turned as he is now he can clearly see that yes, Alastor was waiting for that one bludger to hit Ross and after it did, Alastor is sending it right back at him. The hard ball doesn't have far to go, smacking into Ross and causing him to fumble his hold on the quaffle.

Alexa swoops in, grabs it away, and shoots off. Caerwyn watches her go then after staring a long moment gives himself a mental shake. Those bludgers don't hit themselves and if he doesn't get back to doing his job as beater Marshall Standish and Zelda Piccoli will give Alastor grief while they harass the Hogwarts chasers and if Salem goes in for another score, Daniel as well.

Spotting one of the bludgers, Caerwyn speeds after, wanting to get there before Marshall.

(Aleydis) Stupid Prank
Author: Griet
Date:   08-03-11 18:17

Aleydis watched the action from the players' platform and was so engrossed in the match that she didn't hear Coach Batuti calling her name at first. It took a rather rough prod from Cornelia to draw the younger girl's attention.

She sheepishly mounted her broom and touched off, high-fiving Christopher when they crossed paths. On the Salem side, Priscilla came in for Rhea. Perhaps the new seekers would spot the snitch that had so far eluded everyone else.

Aleydis flew up fairly high and then looked around the Pitch for any small movement. Sometimes she glided up and down the Pitch in a somewhat systematic fashion, but other times it worked better to get a bird's eye view of things.

She looked and she looked and she looked, while occasionally glancing at Priscilla to see if she'd spotted anything. So far, nothing.

Aleydis was starting to wonder if the snitch had even been released at the start of the match, although she'd seen it with her very own eyes. One would think a ball of gold woulnd't be hard to find, even as small as it was. If anything, the crowd ought to see it somewhere.

Maybe this was shaping out to be the longest match in Hogwarts history. Aleydis wasn't sure just how long the longest match to date was, but she'd heard that some professional matches had lasted for days. She doubted a Hogwarts match would last longer than one, but she wasn't positive about that either.

Suddenly, she spotted movement over her shoulder. She whipped her head around and then her entire body, positioning the nose of her broom slightly down. She took off without a second's hestitation. Priscilla, having noted her actions, took off too.

Something small, round and shiny was flying somewhat erratically. It had wings, but they didn't really appear to be flapping. There was something off about the snitch, but Aleydis couldn't place what that might be until she was upon it. She snatched it up, only to find that it wasn't the snitch at all but a very bad imitation of one.

It would seem somebody in the crowd had thrown a gold Christmas ornament into the air and charmed it to fly. Wings made of filmy material were adhered to the sides of the ornament but hung loosely on either side.

All three referees blew on their whistles and then flew over to Aleydis, who hovered in the air with Priscilla nearby. Both girls looked at the false snitch with a mixture of surprise and annoyance.

Referee Evers took the fake from Aleydis.

"Somebody's idea of a prank," he said, eyeing the nearest box of seating. It would be difficult to know who'd done it, unless the culprit fessed up or was turned in by someone who'd witnessed the incident from the start.

He pocketed the snitch and then confered with the other refs before putting the quaffle back into play.

Aleydis felt a bit miffed that somebody would interrupt the championship match of all games with a stupid prank. She hoped the person or persons involved would get in trouble, but she didn't worry about that now as she had a real snitch to find.

More Cousins In The Mix (Jill & Hadrian)
Author: Aaron Miller
Date:   08-04-11 14:11

A short time ago JIll and Hadrian had both been sent in with Deak and Olive coming out, making for a trio of Wenlock cousins playing chaser as well as one in as beater and another as keeper. For Salem, Tucker Standish entered the match with Sarah Whitfield exiting and keeper Danny Wignall goes out as well with Emily Frost coming in. It's Tucker currently with the quaffle, Irma Lassiter and Ross Trescott jockeying to get into the clear to accept a pass from him. Hadrian keeps getting in Irma's way to the point that he hears her hotly muttering some not so nice words. At least they aren't words directed at him personally.

Tucker narrowly misses being hit with a bludger as he looks to throw the quaffle to one of the other Salem chasers. Alexa had been on Ross but he dips suddenly and weaves off to one side. Tucker moves to throw but Jill sneaks in from his other side, catching the quaffle instead. She takes off with it, Alexa and Hadrian now working to assist her.

Jill swoops around a seeker then ducks under a beater to avoid getting kicked in the head. Leveling off she passes to Alexa who immediately makes a nice forward pass to Hadrian. Jill grunts when a bludger hits the top of her shoulder, glad that it's more of a glancing blow. Hadrian also nearly gets hit with a bludger. He's a prime target at the moment since he's in possession of the quaffle. He's also nearing that area around the hoops that's within the best goal range.

Hadrian shoots, the red ball lofting towards the space inside the targeted hoop but Emily knocks it away. It's Irma on hte rebound but her grasp on the quaffle is tenuous at best so when Alexa bats at it, the quaffle pops free.

Alexa makes a grab for it then without really aiming she throws the quaffle in the general direction of the hoops. Again Emily rebuffs it. Jill's got the rebound now though and looks for her best opening. She's got to dodge yet another bludger in the process but then lets the quaffle fly. Emily's moving for it but thanks to Caerwyn she's got the other bludger to contend with. She takes the full on bludger hit while going for the quaffle block. Despite the effort, Emily misses the quaffle and it soars through one of the hoops.

Hogwarts is now on top with 20 points to Salem's 10.

Faces in the Crowd
Author: Ella
Date:   08-04-11 15:42

Since leaving the locker room at the start of the match, Ella had spent more time scanning the faces in the crowd than watching the action in the air. It certainly wasn't that she found the championship match uninteresting. For the first time since the very beginning, Hogwarts was on top. Why wouldn't Ella be excited about that?

Her gaze lingered on the stands because she'd been so sure her father would be there to see her play in the championships. Ella had yet to spot him, though, and had begun to realize that he'd not come to the match at all.

Granted, the crowd was the largest yet, so maybe she'd just not gotten to him or had overlooked him in the sea of faces in the stadium.

She turned her head when Professor Batuti called her by name.

"Go in for Caerwyn," she instructed.

Ella picked up her bat, mounted her broom, and took flight. Meanwhile, Salem keeper Emily handed the quaffle to Tucker. He attempted to get away from his team's goal hoops, but the Hogwarts chasers more or less barred his way. Tucker looked for somebody to throw to, but his fellow chasers weren't easily reached.

Ella noticed as soon as she entered the match that the opposing beaters were hogging the bludgers. They wanted to break up the wall preventing Tucker from getting across the Pitch. Both Marshall and Zelda, the American beaters, gave the bludgers hard whacks. One struck Jill in the upper arm. The other missed Hadrian, only because Ella was fast enough to intercept it. She gave it a light bat towards Alastor, who from his position was able to better redirect it at Tucker.

By then, Tucker had found an opening in Ross. Ross immediately took off, weaving between the obstacles placed in his path and easily avoiding every last one. Ella raced to a bludger very recently deflected by Zelda and threw her arm back to give the black ball a mighty hit when somebody in the stands caught her eyes.

It wasn't her father. It was Zane.

Marshall came out of no where and hit the bludger Ella had been so intent on hitting just seconds before. It targeted Alexa, who was trying to steal the ball from Irma, who had just accepted a pass from Ross. Alexa was able to miss getting hit, but just barely.

Ella ground her teeth together, angry that she'd allowed herself to get distracted, but cast another quick look in the stands. Zane was gone.

She blinked and looked around for people moving up and down the stairs but she didn't see him anywhere. Maybe she'd not really seen him and had only thought she'd had.

She shook her head and focused on the game again.

Hit From Behind (Mason)
Author: Pyrrhus
Date:   08-04-11 16:13

A timeout is called but because of listening to something Basil Wynbourne was saying, Mason missed hearing which team called for it. He can't remember how many each team has taken of those alotted decides it doesn't really matter who wanted the timeout as both teams get to use the time. As the Hogwarts players converge to speak with Coach Batuti she motions to him and calls, "Mason, you're going in," in case he hadn't seen her gesture. When the time is up and he's on his broom flying over the pitch Mason hears the announcer make mention of a substitution on the Salem team as well, Henry Fellows in for Zelda Piccoli.

When the timeout was taken Salem had possession of the quaffle so Tucker Standish accepts the red ball from one of the referees and puts it back into play with a pass to Ross Trescott. Ross accelerates away with Tucker close behind. The third Salem chaser Irma Lassiter is ahead of them both but constantly looking over her shoulder to see where they are in relation to her and whether she needs to be ready to take the quaffle.

Mason, who came in for Alexa, hightails after Ross. Tucker is right on top of his though, making it difficult for Mason to do much of anything. Alastor helps by sending a bludger at Tucker just so Mason's able to do something without the worry of fouling someone he's not even trying to get the quaffle from.

Ross steers around Ella, who was going after a bludger and not about ot be the one to move. No sooner does Ross zip past her than she hits that bludger square at his back. Jill is closer to Ross at that point and optimizes on the bludger hit swerving over as closer to him as she can without knocking into him then darts a hand over to snatch the quaffle away while he gasps for breath.

Jill jettisons the quaffle away in a pass to Hadrian. Mason speeds up on the other side of Hadrian, ready to take a handoff or run interference, whichever the other boy needs. That's working well until Mason also gets a thwack on the back from a bludger just as Hasrian's passing to him. He misses the catch and the quaffle arcs past him and begins a descent towards the ground.

Irma gets to it before anyone else and shoots off in the direction of Daniel, who's probably itching for another chance at blocking whatever Salem throws at him.

Get The Snitch, But Not Now (Glori & Gus)
Author: Phinfilius
Date:   08-05-11 06:42

Around fifteen minutes ago Glori had gone in as keeper in Daniel's place. Since then Salem has had the quaffle more than Hogwarts, making the fifteen minutes seem three times that at least. Not a full minute into the match for her Glori was blocking a shot by Tucker Standish. Irma has caught it on the rebound but Glori blocked again. Mason grabbed it up then and took off, beginning the longest period Hogwarts would hold the ball in the ensuing quarter hour.

Each time Salem came at her, Glori was able to keep the Americans from scoring. As they head her way again, she hopes very much to be able to do it again. Ross has the quaffle, bearing down on her only to pass to Irma at the last possible second. Irma lobs the quaffle with Glori diving for the block. She can tell she's not going to make it but that just has Glori throwing herself with greater force. With a scowling frown Glori helpulessly watches as the quaffle passes within centimeters of her fingers then sails through the hoop for a goal.

Salem has finally scored again, damn them, bringing the tally to 20 points per team.

Glori puts the quaffle back in with a throw to Hadrian, who passes it along to Jill, who in turn passes it along to Mason. Henry gets a bludger off at Mason who avoids but but Irma is just on Mason's other side and because of him didn't see the bludger until too late. It smacks her hard in the face and even from where she is on the pitch in relation to them Glori could see blood squirting. Either Irma's nose took a pretty bad hit or her mouth did. Either way, she's out with Antonio Torres coming in.

That's when Augustus is sent in as well. He'd been hoping and hoping for Hogwarts to get the snitch but only AFTER he'd gotten some time in the match. Five minutes would be better than not at all in his estimation. Alastor comes out though as Gus passes him, he can tell the other boy doesn't really want to. Gus can't blame him.

Play begins again with Mason still holding the quaffle. Gus straight away goes for a bludger then slows when he sees Marshall is closer. Gus waits for Marshall to hit it then dashes after, stopping it before it reaches Mason and redirecting it at Antonio who is venturing close enough to Mason for a steal attempt.

Mason passes back to Jill as Gus locates the second bludger. He leans low over his broom to zip there even more quickly. Just as he is on it Priscilla goes by in her search for the snitch. As she doesn't seem to have a clue where it is right then, Gus positions himself to bat the bludger at Ross. From there he hovers a moment to check where each bludger is. The one he just hit misses Ross but does clip Tucker, which is just as well.

One bludger is coming more or less his direction so Gus leans over his broom again to go tearing after it. Very happy to get in the match at last and hoping that Hogwarts does get the snitch but maybe not quite yet.

A Bit Bored
Author: Griet
Date:   08-05-11 09:57

Game play went on for quite a bit with several scoring attempts but no luck on either side. Some players earned a few bumps and bruises from bludgers or accidental collisions but no other serious injuries occurred. No oddities, like other pranks, happened either.

Griet was starting to feel a bit bored. Although she wanted a chance to play, not only because it was the Championship Match, but also because it was her last one ever as Hogwarts student, Griet felt like the game could end any moment now.

She yawned, covering it with her hand at the same time Professor Batuti called her name. Cornelia and Jack were also sent into the match. As a result, Jill, Aleydis, and Hadrian left.

Salem had possession of the quaffle. Ross threw overhand to Tucker, but Griet swept in for the interception. She immediately looped around and tore through the air for the opposing hoops. She flew faster and faster, and when she reached scoring range, she propelled the quaffle forward. Emily caught it, though it hit her stomach quite hard. Wheezing a little, she handed the quaffle off to Antonio.

Antonio immediately passed the quaffle to Tucker. Tucker pulled the red ball close and attempted to move ahead of the pack, but a bludger sent via Gus forced him to swerve quite suddenly. Jack was able to lift the quaffle from Tucker's arms, but he didn't hold onto it for very long because Ross popped it from his hands before Jack could secure his grip on it.

Griet hurried to Ross' sides and punched at the quaffle. It loosened in his grip just a tad, but not enough to pop free. He shifted it to his other hand so that Antonio, who was flying next to him, could take it.

Substitutions VS No Subs (Jack)
Author: Kody
Date:   08-05-11 10:24

Instead of being annoying at having to wait so long to get into the match Jack's grateful there's still a match going on to be sent into. There had been matches at all levels of competition in which the snitch is caught only minutes into the game. There had also been matches where the number of goals scored by one team were so much that even with the snitch the other team still lost. At least that's not going to be the case here today, not with a score tied at 20-20.

Jack is keeping pace with Antonio, doing his best to mirror the Salem chaser's moves, because Antonio is wanting to pass to Tucker but where Tucker is in relation to Antonio means having to get the quaffle past Jack. Meanwhile, Mason is being a problem for Tucker in the event that Antonio does see an opening past Jack. Although he can't see her at the moment, Jack thinks that Griet must still be on Ross, who he knows is somewhere behind him.

They reach the rings guarded by Glori and, still unable to get off a clear pass to one of his team, Antonio goes for the goal shot. Glori blocks with a full on catch, tossing the quaffle to Mason, the nearest Hogwarts chaser to her at that point, and grins at them as the flow of action begins moving away from her once more.

Jack hears, "Heads up, Jack!" from Ella, signalling him to watch out as she bats a bludger at Tucker. He speeds up and barrel rolls to one side for her then pops back upright, off after Mason who's looking to pass. Mason spots Griet open first though so throws her the red ball. She sprints away not slowing a big when she swerves to avoid a bludger hit by Henry.

Antonio and Ross both nearly intercept the quaffle at different times this trip down the pitch but with Gus Hodfuffer and Ella seeming to be everywhere at once to get to the bludgers before Henry and Marshall, Griet, Mason, and Jack get the ball all the way down to where Emily awaits.

It's Jack with the quaffle when the first real opening comes for the goal attempt. He throws but even as he lets it go, he knows it's not the best of shots. Emily is there for the block, which she does successfully, but somehow in the process clunks her head a good one on the rim of one of the hoops. Griet had grabbed the rebound but everyone stops when a whistle blows.

In a regular match, a coach could pull a player but would have none to send in to take that person's place. This means a player with a serious concussion or broken bone would stay in a match, trying not to give away just how bad things were, not wanting to be pulled and letting the team down. With subbing allowed in the IQT matches, the refs and coaches have been really good about checking the worse of the injuries and getting a player out of the match if necessary. Emily is looking somewhat glassy eyed after hitting her head on the metal ring so it's not a surprise to those who see her up close that she's helped off the pitch with what could be a serious concusion.

While Jack is glad she's going to be seen to sooner rather than later, he thinks it's also a bit of a shame that she's not staying in since it would mean Hogwarts chances of scoring would be dramatically increased. If no substitute were allowed, she could leave the game and they'd definitely up the score. Though if subbing weren't allowed, Jack wouldn't be having these thoughts as he'd not currently be on the pitch. Also, he concedes, points scored against real opposition, meaning having to get the quaffle past a keeper, are far more satisfying than scoring against an empty keeper's position or against a keeper so wounded that it's as if the keeper isn't there at all.

Sharon Walker takes Emily's place, the match resumes, and Griet, still with the quaffle, debates whether to pass to Jack or Mason or if she's the one in the best position to try for it.

(Cornelia) Snitch Seeker
Author: Griet
Date:   08-05-11 12:38

Cornelia threw herself into finding the snitch. She didn't want the game to end so soon after entering, but she really, really, really wanted to catch it before Priscilla could. Priscilla had gotten to the winged ball first the last time Hogwarts and Salem played each other, and Cornelia wasn't about to let that happen again.

She looked at the Championship Match as a way to redeem their original loss against Salem, as well as to take the tournament cup.

While she searched for the snitch, there was one last substitution. Blake, the only player on the Hogwarts side, was sent in to replace Ella.

Cornelia paid little attention to the other players as they raced from one side of the Pitch to the other and back again. She did watch out for Priscilla though.

So far, the snitch hadn't been seen. Not once. That was all about to change, though.

Cornelia saw the first glimmer in the sunlight but didn't race towards it just yet. She didn't want to be fooled like her dopey sister Aleydis had earlier in the match. She glanced quickly at Priscilla to see if she'd seen it, but the Salem seeker was clear across the Pitch with her back to Cornelia.

Cornelia edged a little closer. She did so almost casually, so that the announcer wouldn't sound the alarm. The nearer Cornelia drew to it, the more evident it became that she was looking at the real thing. The snitch hovered in one spot, its filmy wings flapping almost too quick for the eye to catch.

She nearer she got, the more her heart started to pound. Should she dash off now or should she continue to creep up on it? Nobody seemed to see it. The snitch didn't even seem to realize she was almost upon it.

Cornelia glided up to it, sure that it would sprint away at any moment, but it didn't go anywhere. She cupped out her hand and scooped it up.

For a while, nobody seemed to realize what had happened. Cornelia raised her hand high, holding up the snitch for all to see.

All at once, a roar sounded throughout the stadium, Hogwarts had done it. Hogwarts was the IQT champion!
