Stunned
Author: Charlie Weasley
Date:   04-20-15 19:42

Looking up from grading exams at the knock on the door, Charlie calls, "Come in," expecting a student who'd missed the final when his wife had gone into labor. To say he's shocked when Pierce Ford walks in would be a drastic understatement.

Pierce hesitates just inside the doorway. Rising, Charlie states the obvious. "Pierce, you're out of Azkaban."

"Last night. I came to thank you in person for saving my life."

"You already thanked me numerous times."

"In short letters."

Charlie gestures to a chair. "Please, sit. Sorry for my massive surprise. I thought you still had time to serve."

"My solicitor was able to get the time reduced because of how those guards ignored my telling them I had been poisoned, prompting me to attempt breaking out, which led to that beating and the delayed medical care and the refusal to let me contact her."

"What's next for you? I hope illicit forays onto any dragon preserve aren't on the horizon."

"I'm done with that," Pierce replies with a shake of his head. "I'm not going back the apprenticeship. That man nearly killed me. Granted, he did warn me but if he'd not put that poison hex on me in the first place, the beating along with nearly not getting the antidote in time wouldn't have happened."

"Will your leaving make him angry?"

"Probably, but I'm sure he'll get another apprentice."

"If you aren't going back to him and are no longer restricted by a charm from speaking of him and his odd experiments, you should sit down with someone at the Ministry. He could be arrested and charged on any number of counts, not the least of which would be attempted murder."

"I am considering it. In fact, someone has been pressuring my solicitor to have me talk. If I do, you could well be affected."

"I'm sorry, I don't follow."

Pierce bites his upper lip trying to think how best to explain. He decides to cut right to it without any effort to soften what he says. "My master, former master that is, is one of your colleagues at the MacFusty Hebridean Black Preserve. Raymond Washington."

Stunned into momentary speechlessness, Charlie plops unceremoniously into his chair.

Songwriting through Lunch
Author: Calliope Torres
Date:   04-21-15 18:04

Calli currently sat on the steps leading up to the Great Hall, her notebook open in her lap. For a change she wasn't buried in schoolwork, instead she was currently working on ideas for a song. Running a hand through her hair she leaned back against the steps and sighed for a moment, looking over what she was currently working on.

Humming lightly, she was attempting to figure out exactly what beat would work well for the song she was currently writing. Words flowing effortlessly, a light smile dancing upon her lips as the verses were flowing easily enough. Chorus and bridge were added, and ultimately by the time she had to head to History of Magic, she'd written all through lunch.

She quickly stopped by the common commons and grabbed something quick to snack on as she headed to the History of Magic classroom. Notebook tucked into her messenger bag and she quickly pulled her hair back into a ponytail and slipped into her seat.

She bit her lip lightly, and muttered under her breath when she realized she forgot her history of magic notebook in her room on her bed. Flipping to the back of her songwriting notebook, she used it for the notes, and it was her last class of the day so she could head back to her room and ultimately transcribe the notes back into her HoM notebook.

(Aleydis) Food Coma
Author: Griet
Date:   04-22-15 18:08

The Wyrding Way was crowded and a bit noisy, but Aleydis didn't find herself too distracted while trying to study for the last of her final exams. She sat on a sofa against a wall with her legs tucked underneath her body and a very tall, very caffeinated beverage on the small end table next to her elbow. Her bookbag was in the seat next to hers, but only temporarily. As soon as Basil returned with his own drink and two sandwich plates, she moved the bag to the floor.

He handed her one of the plates.

"Thanks," she said. She put down the bright red quill she was using to notate a study guide and picked up the sandwich, which was grilled cheese with ham.

Basil grinned when she started making contented noises. It wasn't just grilled cheese and ham. It was a combination of mozzarella and provolone, with Italian cured ham on panini-pressed bread.

"Told you it was good," he said.

Aleydis let out a blissful sigh and said, "Yeah, just want I needed. Brain food!"

"Brain food?" Basil repeated questioningly. "More like put-you-in-a-coma food."

Aleydis looked at him in mock horror. "Don't say that. There's still 2 1/2 days of finals left! I can't afford to fall into a euphoric food coma… at least not until Saturday."

Basil frowned at her in pretend pity.

Aleydis sighed and accepted her fate. The sandwich was simply too good not to finish. The cheese was melted just perfectly, and the different flavors of cheese and ham were an explosion of deliciousness in her mouth. She polished it off quickly and then washed it all down with a gigantic swig from her coffee drink.

Then she picked up her red quill again and said, "Let's see how long it'll take for this food coma to set in."

Basil offered helpfully, "Maybe that insanely large beverage of yours will counteract the effects…"

Aleydis grinned at him. "Here's hoping." She turned her attention back to the study guide and got back to work.

Life Mistakes
Author: Alaia Rothstein
Date:   04-23-15 17:54

Alaia had been in such a good mood since Lee had asked her to marry him. It was a wonderful feeling to be an engaged woman. Divina just laughed when she had said that to her.

The bell above the door had jingled and Alaia looked up to see who had come in. It was her parents. She smiled and walked around the counter to hug them.

"So when are you going to give this up and go back to nursing?" Her father prodded. Alaia closed her eyes and tried to center herself. She didn't want to argue with her parents especially not here.

Divina poked her head out of the kitchen and smiled when she saw Alaia's parents. She waved and Alaia's mother waved back and said it was good to see her; Divina returned the sentiment.

"Can we go upstairs and talk?" Alaia's father asked.

Since they had hired more people to work in the sweet shoppe it had become easier for Alaia to take breaks and or to take time off. "Sure, Dad. Just a minute." She walked into the kitchen and sighed deeply and talked to Divina about watching the front and taking care of everything because she was going to take off early and make some dinner for her parents.

She cleaned the flower off her hands and took her apron off and hung it up and the three went upstairs. It was still early and she was not expecting Lee home for at least another hour and dinner would be done about then so it would work out well.

When they got upstairs Alaia poured drinks and handed them out to her parents; then they started in, or at least her father did. "You know Honey it's not that we don't like Lee because we do. It's just that you are so young and you've already made so many mistakes in your life.

Alaia looked around and just about dropped the knife in her hand and she turned towards her parents, knife still in hand, "What mistakes. Just because I am not a nurse like you want me to be? That is not a mistake that was making a choice to do something I love over something I just merely enjoy."

"We just want to make sure that you're prepared for the responsibilities of being a wife."

Alaia closed her eyes and shook her head then turned around and slammed down the knife on the counter. This conversation was not going well, no matter their intention and it was not making her happy in the least.

"Well I love Lee and I am going to marry him. If you can not support that then that is your problem and you do not have to come to the wedding." She sighed and took a deep breath and said, "I think that you both should leave. I don't want to have this conversation any longer."

"Oh, Honey..." Her mother said.

"No," Alaia cut her mother off. "Just go. Lee will be home soon and I want to make sure dinner is ready for him. Good bye." She turned back around and as she did she heard two small pops and her parents were gone.

Time had passed and dinner was made and Alaia was drinking some wine, in fact she had drank half a bottle of wine by herself. She was drunk and Lee found her sitting in the window seat crying when he came home.

When came over Alaia proceeded to tell him what her parents had said. She could not understand that if the liked Lee and loved her why would they not want her to be happy with the man that she loves? She loves Lee and wants to spend the rest of her life with him maybe even have a family with him. She just did not understand her parents.

Lee wrapped his arms around his crying fiancé and tried to sooth her tears away but they would not abate and she sobbed on his shoulder.

Me or the Others
Author: Amanda Reynolds
Date:   04-23-15 18:21

Amanda had been spending a lot of time with the Slytherin, Christopher Burke and less time with Elliot however she still had a bit of a crush on Elliot. She also really liked Christopher though.

"Come on let's go somewhere we can be alone." Christopher said, he didn't really like her friends.

Amanda looked at the others and then said okay. Her friends just looked at her mouth open slightly in shock that she was so willingly being swayed to just go away with him into a dark corner of the castle and do who knows what.

Taking Christopher's hand the two walked away up the stairs and to a quiet little place where they were alone. The two began kissing and touching. Amanda had never done this before, never having a boyfriend before. All the years that she was of dating age and even before she had only wanted one person and that was Elliot Baylis.

"Will you go out with me?" Christopher asked her.

Amanda smiled, "yes. I would love to be your girlfriend."

"Now that you are my girlfriend I will introduce you to some of my friends and then you can ditch those losers you were hanging out with."

Amanda looked up sharply and pulled back away from his advances and said, "but those are my friends."

"Yes, and you are my girlfriend and I don't want you hanging out with them anymore. They are not good for you."

Feeling weak to his powers of persuasion she sighed and agreed. She would no longer hang out with her best friend and other friends. A small tear threatened her eye but she quickly wiped it away claiming that something got into her eye.

"Good now that is settled..." He began kissing her again and quickly he was doing things to her that she had never dreamed were possible.

Intentions
Author: Cate
Date:   04-23-15 18:57

"I don't like him." Cate blurted out as they Christopher and Amanda walked away.

"That's okay I don't think he likes you either." Elliot said. "I don't think he likes any of us. I think he wants to get her all alone and..."

"What a jerk." Preston said. "Praying on a girl like Amanda who's never had a boyfriend and the only one she has ever loved is gay." They all looked at Elliot and Elliot blushed. "It's true."

"I know." Elliot said.

"What are we going to do?" Cate asked.

"What do you mean?" Darren asked.

"We can't just let him take advantage of her. All he wants from her is one thing and one thing only."

"And she seems pretty eager to give it up to him." Preston said. Cate smacked his arm. "Well it's true. She is always all over him and now they are off doing who knows what in some dark corner of the castle."

"Elliot you need to have a talk with her."

"Why me?"

"Because you are her best friend. You need to convince her that all he wants from her is sex."

"I don't know if I can. But I'll try." He said.

The four friends sat and talked about what they wanted to do and just what Christopher's intentions were. It made the friends sad that Amanda was getting herself in this situation because she was blinded by a pretty face and silky smooth words.

Weird Girl (Jack & Deak)
Author: Kody
Date:   04-24-15 20:08

Deak knocks on the partially open door, walking into the room before Jack's gotten out a, "Come in." He flops onto a bean bag style chair, sighing. "I think I could sleep for the next week."

Sprawled on his bed Jack agrees. "At least that."

"All the studying and writing exams also has me famished."

"You're always famished."

"Then what's more than famished?"

"I don't think there's a word for that. What time did Wiggy say to meet?"

"Between 5 and 5:30. Did I tell you about the weird girl yesterday?" Deak paws through his bookbag for some crisps he's thinks he has.

Jack rolls over to get a more direct, better view of Deak. "Weird girl?"

"This girl I don't remember ever seeing before sat down next to me. Decided to chat me up, wanting to know if I was ready for the exam. She'd heard it was one massive essay question."

Jack gives him a look that indicates so far she doesn't sound overly weird.

"She suddenly stopped talking, leaned in close to me, like she was studying my face or something then she asked if I was a friend of that Hodfuffer bloke who plays for Puddlemere. When I asked how would she know that she said she must have seen us around or something. Could I get her an autograph?"

Deak quickly chews a puffy cheese crisps before continuing. "I asked how come I don't remember seeing her in class before. She said she usually sat at the very back but as those seats were taken when she got there for the exam, she took the one next to me and say, you didn't answer about the autograph. I couldn't get it, right? Make it out to Dana."

"She sounds a little pushy but not weird."

"Never saw her before. Somehow knows I'm a friend of Wiggy's. Begs for an autograph. Says her name is Dana. Could that be short for Bradana?"

"Hadn't thought of that. What did you tell her about the autograph?"

"I told her I'd see what I could do. She gave me a place and a time to meet her one day next week then excused herself to go to the loo. If she came back, I never saw her."

"You think it was the psycho in disguise?"

"Either that or some girl who has seen me with Wiggy and sought me out to see about that autograph. Why she'd lie about being in the same class with me instead of just approaching me elsewhere I don't know."

"If it is some other girl maybe she thought if she came up to you kind of at random, you'd reject her request."

"Yeah, could be."

"You going to show up next week?"

"Don't know. Thought I'd run it by Wiggy this evening. See if he thinks it's his number one fan."

Jack rolls again, this time entirely off the bed. Stretching he says, "You eating those crisps has made me famished now too. Let's get some lunch. While we eat, we can dissect every single thing you recall of this Dana person."

Heaving himself up from the bean bag chair, Deak follows Jack from the room, finishing off the bag of crisps before he's reached the door.
