Cuddle Time
Author: Adina Blackwood
Date:   04-17-11 12:48

Adina and Arthur sat curled up on one of the sofas in the Slytherin Common Room killing time until the Easter Egg Hunt on the grounds later, it was something that everyone was looking forward to because the eggs held all sorts of prizes from money to sweets and even larger prizes.

"I need to meet with Professor Black soon. Really soon." She said, nestling into him a little more, her head on his shoulder. A light little sigh sliding free of her as his arm slipped around her a bit more.

"What about?" He asked, curious.

"I've a few questions about the transfiguration assignment. Plus a few others." She said lightly, shifting, she hadn't the courage to tell him what she is yet. Not even Kida and Whitney know yet, only her friends from home know.

"Why don't you find him after class tomorrow, or during his office hours." He suggested helpfully.

"I'll probably set up an appointment with him, and see about getting things sorted." She said, nuzzling into him and pressing a soft kiss to his shoulder.

"I'm hungry, I think we can head to the Common Commons and grab a bite, since the Great Hall is still off limits because of the lesson. Which, I can't freakin wait to start taking." She said, pushing up and out of Arthur's embrace. "Besides, I wanna take a peek outside and see if I can see where the eggs are being hidden." She said with a mischeivous smile.

"Mmm...well, I think I am going to have to keep you distracted." Arthur said as he tugged her to him for a hug and then the pair headed to the Common Common room to grab something to eat and settle on one of the loveseats and tuned into one of the radio programs that was on.

Distraction from Study
Author: Charisma Stone
Date:   04-17-11 13:17

Isma sat in one of the private study rooms in the Library, taking notes for her potions assignment. She still had her DADA assignment to do as well. There was also her Herbology assignment. Everything else was done, so she just took the time to get these last few assignments done to turn them in tomorrow.

Legs curled beneath her, and she quickly penned out the responses to the questions on the potions homework including detailed information about the ingredients used in the potion that they'd been discussing last week. Parchement roll was dried and rolled up neatly, tucked to the side and she drew to her the stack of notes she'd taken for her herbology assignment - that was next.

She'd been so wrapped up in things, that she hadn't heard the door open behind her, or hear Blake come up behind her. "So studious..." His voice is what yanked her out of her study induced focus. Which sent her quill streaking across the parchment tearing the parchment.

"Damn it." She muttered under her breath and flicked her wand reparing the parchment.

"Blake, really? Did you have to scare the crap out of me?" She stuck her tongue out at him before slipping from her chair and nuzzling into him lightly.

"Sorry babe. Just thought I'd come check on you. I mean the Easter Egg hunt is going to be starting after the lesson, so I wanted to see how much more work that you had to still get done." He said pressing a kiss to the top of her head.

"I am almost done with herbology and that leaves DADA and I'm done." She said, nuzzling into him all the more.

"Good, get it done. I'll meet you in the Common Commons for a quit bite before we head down to the easter egg hunt."

Isma smiled and kissed his cheek. "I can finish later. It isn't that much. Besides, it is the last of the make up work from when we were in Canada."

"Good." He said, and helped her gather her things. "In that case, I know just how I want to spend the rest of the day then." They headed to Gryffindor Tower and Isma put her things away, and then she and Blake headed out of the Tower and to the Common Commons, a nod to former teammate Adina and her beau Arthur Fu, before they laid claim to one of the loveseats and something to eat. They spent the rest of the afternoon before heading out to the Easter Egg Hunt.

Millamant's Magic Marquees
Author: Hermione Granger
Date:   04-17-11 14:37

"Welcome Ms. Granger, Mr. Weasley. If you'll step into my office, I'll show you the final design for your wedding marquee."

Hermione and Ron followed the short wizard into the partition considered his office. Millamant's Magic Marquees was the tent manufacturer the Weasley family had used for other weddings. Weeks ago, Hermione and Mrs. Weasley had gone to the massive tent from which the business operated and given Mr. Wilton an idea of what they wanted for the wedding.

"Please, have a seat. Cup of tea? Lemon Biscuit?

"Yes, please," Hermione and Ron answered simultaneously.

Mr. Wilton wore a tailored suit complete with waistcoat. A gold pocketwatch hung from his pocket. He glanced at the time after serving his guests and then sat down in an average-sized chair that nonetheless appeared too large for his small stature.

He reached for a notebook on his desk. Printed on the spine was Granger-Weasley Wedding. Mr. Wilton flipped open the notebook and turned it upside down so that Hermione and Ron could see.

"I propose a cream colored tent with lilac accents to go with your wedding colors."

He flipped from page to page, showing a mixture of sketchwork and actual photographs. There were also fabric swatches.

"If everything looks all right with you both, then I will have my team get to work this very moment. Much is prefabricated, so it's just a matter of making sure the colors are corrected if necessary."

Hermione took the notebook off the desk and flipped through it from the very beginning all over again. Ron leaned in close to study every detail with her. When she reached the end, she gave him a questioning look.

"What do you think?" she asked him.

"What do you think?" he asked in response.

"I think it's perfect," Hermione replied.

"Then I think it's perfect too," Ron said. He took the notebook from Hermione and put it back on Mr. Wilton's desk. "Are you sure it'll all be ready in time for the wedding?" he asked the older wizard.

"Yes, of course. As I said, we don't have to do much from scratch. We just need to match everything to the specifics given here," he said, tapping the top of the notebook with extremely stubby fingers.

"The tent will go up no less than 24-hours before the wedding. Earlier, if you prefer it."

"24-hours is an acceptable minimum," Hermione answered.

"Wonderful. You won't be disappointed, Ms. Granger, Mr. Weasley."

Hermione and Ron got up and shook Mr. Wilton's hand. He led them out of his office and into the main part of the marquee. They walked out and stood hand in hand in front of the massive structure.

"What now?" Ron asked.

"I ought to clean out the flat," Hermione said, "and move more things over to your place."

"To our place," Ron corrected.

Hermione smiled. "Soon to be our place."

"I can help, if you like."

"That would be grand. When we get tired we can pop over to Hogwarts. The Easter Egg hunt is today."

"We don't have any kids to bring."

"I'm not suggesting we hunt eggs. I just think it would be nice to go. Besides, Hogmeade residents and family members are invited. We live in Hogsmeade, and we have family on staff at Hogwarts too."

"Leave it to you to rationalize our visit!" Ron exclaimed. He squeezed Hermione's hand warmly. "Shall we go?"

"Yes."

"On the count of three then. One, two, three!"

They disapparated.

Ready For The Lesson To End (Deak)
Author: Kody
Date:   04-17-11 15:44

At breakfast in this very room Deak had frowned at Etta, "I wish you could come with us to Australia for the holiday."

"Wouldn't that be nice? But as you aren't going for a holiday but for Drake's wedding, it's not like I'd belong."

"You'd be my plus one. Besides, Cara wrote and said she's got a beach party planned."

Etta had grinned, poking Deak in the side. "Cara Darling in a bikini. How lovely. Don't you go falling for her."

Knowing Etta was teasing Deak had teased right back, "Only if you promise not to start dating Jack while I'm gone."

"Well, I don't know. Jack is awfully nice and very, very cute."

"That's it then. You have to come to Australia. I'll just owl your parents after breakfast and inform them."

"If it were that easy, I would have asked ages ago. Anyway, it's not like I want to impose on the Darlings."

"It's not imposing. I'm in the wedding party and I'm allowed to have a guest."

"Deak, you know I want to but "

"But what? If you want to go and I want you to go then I'll talk to Aaron then he and Saffron can talk to your parents."

"Only if you're sure it's really okay."

"It is."

"All right then, but truly, I do not want to impose."

"You're never an imposition Julietta Wynbourne."

Etta had grinned at him again then said in a practical tone, "You'd best finish your breakfast as they are going to kick us out of here soon."

Deak had rushed to finish though even if he hadn't gotten done, as he'd already had seconds of everything and was on third helpings of a few things, it wasn't as if he'd have starved during the apparition lesson.

Now though, with Professor Twycross repeating the three Ds for the millionth time this morning alone Deak's stomach is rumbling a little. He's ready for the lesson to end, to be able to grab a little lunch, and to get the Easter Egg Hunt started. Rumor has it that a few of them have a new model of racing broom not available on the market for several more months. Deak wants to hustle and find one of those prize eggs and be one of the first to have that broom - if the rumor about them is true that is.

Family Excursion
Author: Bill Weasley
Date:   04-17-11 16:02

Bill eased Victoire's stroller off the cobbled stones of High Street and onto the grassy Hogwarts grounds. Although spring hadn't officially begun, the lawn had already turned green thanks to Hagrid's care and the wonders of magical fertilizer. There was a chill in the air, but it was most definitely the warmest day of the year yet.

Fleur pointed in the direction of a staff person. That person just happened to be Bill's old friend Aaron Miller. Aaron grinned and shook Bill's hand.

"Welcome to the Hogwarts Easter Egg Hunt." He shook Fleur's hand and then knelt to take Victoire's tiny fingers into his grasp. "She's gotten big."

"Yes, she has. She's learned to run, too."

Aaron chuckled. "Well, there's plenty of room for her to do that here." The infant and toddler area is just that way," he said, rising and pointing in the appropriate direction. "Maybe I'll see you there later."

"Definitely," Bill said. He said goodbye and pushed the stroller to the area reserved for the youngest of children. Already, there was a smattering of babies there. Most were being helped by their parents or older siblings, but a few stood on their own two legs and tottered around with Easter baskets on their arms.

Bill found a good spot and conjured a lawn chair for Fleur. She was seventh months pregnant.

Then, he unbuckled Victoire from her seat and set her on the grass. No sooner did he let go and reach for her Easter basket that she ran as fast as her short, toddler legs could carry her.

Bill hurried to scoop her up before she could go beyond the area reserved for children her age, but before he could reach her, someone picked her up.

"Adriana," Bill stated, both relieved and surprised by her presence.

"Your daughter has a future as a crosscountry runner," Adriana said, smiling down at Victoire, who couldn't help but smile back.

"What are you doing here?" Bill asked.

Adriana looked away from Victoire to address Bill. "I heard about the Easter egg hunt. When I heard it was open to villagers, I thought I would stop by. Besides, I want to discuss something with Dumbledore."

"Do you really count as a villager when you're only staying at the inn?" Bill asked.

Adriana gave him a smug look. "Am I not welcome here, Bill?"

"No, you are not!" Fleur crossly expressed. She held out her arms to take Victoire from Adriana.

Adriana's smug expression shifted from Bill to Fleur. She handed over the baby without question and said, "I'm sorry to hear that."

Bill shook his head. "I didn't mean to suggest you're not welcome here," he said, ignoring Fleur's obvious jealousy. "I just wondered why you came."

"Like I said, I have business to discuss with Dumbledore."

"What kind of business?"

"Bill."

Bill didn't want to ignore Fleur any longer but he really wanted to know why Adriana needed to talk to Dumbledore. He quickly came to the conclusion that Dumbledore might fill him in if he asked.

"I haven't seen him, but he may very well be roving the grounds," Bill said. "See you around, Adriana."

"Bye, Bill. Bye, Victoire. Fleur."

Bill had turned away by then to walk with Fleur back to her seat. He knew she was angry, not necessarily at him but because Adriana seemed to be everywhere these days. Bill took Victoire back into his arms and then set her to the ground. He held onto her with one arm and held out the Easter basket to her with his free hand.

"Now it's time to find Easter eggs," he told her. "No more running, okay?"

Victoire took her Easter basket and looked to see what the other children were doing. When Bill felt sure she would follow suit, he let her go. She didn't run off like before. Instead, she went off in search for her own eggs.

He hovered a few feet behind her, both to be close enough in case she decided to make a break for it but also to help her if necessary. Occasionally, Bill looked over his shoulder to where Fleur still glowered. Adriana, however, was no where in sight.

On A Quick Errand (AJ)
Author: Furnella Hodfuffer
Date:   04-17-11 16:31

AJ's on his way to his third floor office when he passes the open door of his classroom. He's a couple of steps past it when it sinks in that someone's in there. Back up, AJ turns in the doorway, taking in a full view of the room. Zabrynna Ravensdale's red head is bent and she's concentrating hard enough on what she's doing that she hasn't yet noticed AJ standing there.

He clears his throat.

Zabrynna's head jerks up as she jumps, eyes wide.

"Sorry, didn't mean to frighten you."

"It's okay. I just hadn't heard anyone, not even one of the ghosts, so had no idea anyone was here."

"You don't have to work on that today." AJ nods at the archival items in front of Zabrynna, part of the work she's doing for him as he's writing a non-fiction work.

"I know but I was ahead on my classwork and tired of studying for the NEWTs. This is helping the time pass until we students can do the Easter egg hunt." Through a window Zabrynna has opened noises of the younger children and their families invited for the festivities drift in. "It sounds like they're having fun."

"Looks it too. I was just out there helping hide some of the eggs. I'm trading off with Aaron for the apparition lesson now though. He's already out there but before I go to the Great Hall I needed to do something in my office first. How'd you get the materials to work on? Did I not lock my office door?"

"You did. One of the house elves got the box for me. Are you feeling better?"

"Yes, very much so, thank you. How was Professor Grubbly-Plank?" AJ asks of the older witch who often serves as a substitute when someone at Hogwarts needs one. She'd taken his classes all week as he'd not felt well enough to crawl out of bed until Thursday morning. If he'd had any Friday classes he would have taught them himself but having her go on and take his two Thursday classes and then not having any on Friday did allow him the extra rest needed to feel as well as he does today.

"She was her usual effecient self though she's not at adept at teaching Ancient Runes as you are."

"Nice of you to say. Look, don't sit here too long. Go be with your friends. It's a nice day out. Enjoy yourselves. And I hope you find some good prizes in the egg hunt."

"Thank you. I guess I will go on and go find Philippa and Anne." Zabrynna starts packing up the archival items.

"I need to hurry to my office then get down to the Great Hall for what's left of the apparition lesson. Just leave the box on my desk there and lock the classroom door behind you when you go."

"Yes, sir."

AJ hurries from the room to his office, takes a whole thirty seconds to do what he was needing to do, then hastens back down to the ground floor to get to the Great Hall.
