Dung Bomb Easter Eggs
Author: Gerry
Date:   04-18-17 18:17

Gerry and Will went around the Hogwarts grounds together in search of Easter eggs. Gerry's family was expected to turn up at some point during the annual Easter egg hunt, but for now, he and Will could do their thing relatively unsupervised. They'd found a fair amount so far but had yet to open any to see what they got.

They were much more interested in doling out the secret eggs they had hidden in their pockets. These secret eggs were eggs of their own doing––the cheapest, plastic type that split down the middle and which they themselves had filled with dung bombs.

They'd already thrown one at Will's own sister Brianna. She'd been busy reaching into the lower branches of a tree in her quest to collect a pink and white polka-dotted egg and hadn't noticed her brother and his best friend hidden behind a nearby shrub. The egg, thrown by Will, cracked open against Brianna's back and released the dung bomb, which promptly smothered her in stink. The boys ducked as they ran away laughing, hoping Bri wouldn't identify them as the culprits and turn them over to a professor. So far, nobody had come to reprimand them.

Gerry swept a metallic blue egg off the grass and dumped it into his basket. He scanned the area for another egg and spotted Kaycee drop to her knees a short distance across the grounds. She was angled mostly away from him, but if she turned her head just so, then she would definitely see him approach. Gerry exchanged a wicked look with Will and then moved in, going away from Kaycee's line of sight.

He reached his hand into his pocket and closed his fingers around one of the dung bomb eggs. Gerry realized he was vulnerable and that he would most certainly get caught when he hit Kaycee with the egg, but getting punished for dung bombing the little second year seemed almost worth it. Although he had no proof, he thought she might have been the one to slip him the U-No-Poo. She certainly had a motive. He only had his doubts because he didn't think she was clever enough to come up with the prank herself.

Gerry almost had the egg out of his pocket when he heard his mother call out to him. Kaycee heard her too and peered around to the sound of the voice. She looked startled when she noticed Gerry nearly upon her and hastily stood up with her Easter basket in hand. She spun on her heel and stalked away in a hurry.

Gerry tried to keep his emotions in check. He didn't want it known how disappointed he felt that his mother had ruined his trick. Keeping things cool as a cucumber, he pulled his hand out of his pocket, turned and greeted his parents and little brothers, who as Hogsmeade residents had arrived at Hogwarts to take part in the Easter egg hunt.

Family of Three
Author: Marzipan
Date:   04-19-17 18:27

Marzipan had the double role of looking after her two six year olds and monitoring the Hogwarts students during the annual Easter egg hunt. Carter and Vallon were hunting in an area designated for kids around their age. The boys had more or less found an equal amount of eggs so far. They were competitive but they also tended to help each other, which was nice for Marzi since she didn't have to break up any arguments.

Carter turned to his cousin and asked, "Do you want to keep going or stop and see what we've found so far?"

Vallon said, "How about we take a short break and look a some of what we've won? I bet there's still tons of eggs to find, and we shouldn't quit just yet or we'll probably miss out on some prizes."

"I like your thinking."

The boys looked over to their mother, who was nearby but not hovering too closely and waved her towards them. Marzi carried a beach tote in which there was a blanket, drinks and snacks. She spread the blanket onto the grass under the sun and sat down with her kids.

"What did you find?" she asked.

Carter's hand hovered in the air over his basket full of eggs. He debated on which egg took his fancy the most and ultimately selected one that appeared to be covered in golden feathers. Inside the egg was a family pass to the Modesty Rabnott Golden Snidget Reservation in Somerset, England.

"That's a fine prize!" Marzi exclaimed. "We can go this summer."

"It says it's for a family of four," Carter said. "We're only a family of three."

Before Marzi could feel sad about Weston, Vallon interjected, "Mum will just have to bring a boyfriend."

Marzi burst out laughing. "Well, maybe."

There was a potential boyfriend she could bring, but she would cross that bridge if and when she ever got there.

She changed the subject. "What about you, Vallon? Pick an egg and show us what you found."

Vallon painstakingly looked through all his eggs before selecting one that appeared to be painted with multicolored brush strokes. Out came a tin of paints, three paintbrushes of varying size, and a roll of artists' parchment.

"How nice!" Marzi exclaimed.

Vallon seemed enthusiastic about his prize, too. Inspired by their loot thus far, both boys decided to look at more of their prizes before venturing out on the hunt again.

Wand!
Author: Sirius Padfoot Black
Date:   04-19-17 18:42

Not only are the Lupins residents of Hogsmeade but Tonks is working an official patrol shift later in the day but is unofficially on duty and on alert. Sirius is also on patrol later as a professor but for now Tonks, Drucilla, Remus, and he are keeping up with their children, or trying to, as they hunt for eggs. At 2 1/2 this is the first Hogwarts Easter Egg Hunt that Regulus is able to get around fairly well on his own. He still needs help but there is a great deal of, "Me do it!" going on.

Teddy Lupin is 8 now, with a September birthday. Hope turned 5 two days ago, with a birthday party yesterday. Zaria is also 5 but only until the end of October. The twins turn 11 in just over a month, on May 13th. Sirius is not ready for that. Mira has passed the being a pest mark about when she, and James, can get their wands.

Mira with a wand is a somewhat scary thought.

Sirius often feels guilty for thinking that but he cannot help it. Dru is the same way. She says that at least with Sirius being a Hogwarts professor Mira will feel compelled to be on best behavior.

Sirius has doubts about that. He has a feeling she'll follow in most Black family footsteps and be Sorted into Slytherin. No one will accept his bet on that.

"UP!" Regulus insists, pointing to an egg in a bush out of his reach.

Sirius is setting his younger son down, now the proud owner of an egg so shockingly bright pink as to hurt the eyes, when Mira excitedly runs up, her basket bouncing in one hand and waving something in the other hand.

"I got a wand! Look, Dad, I got a wand!"

"WHAT?" Sirius is about to loudly demand who would put a wand as a prize in an egg meant for a child not old enough to attend Hogwarts.

That exclamation is choked off as Mira falls to the ground laughing uproariously. "It's chocolate! Your face! Need a picture!" she gasps between breaths.

Sirius glares at her a second then with Regulus tugging at him to be lift up again and Zaria calling for help as well he mutters sarcastically under his breath as he turns away, "Your face. Need a picture. Bet she wouldn't think it so funny if I confiscate all those unopened eggs."

(Tessa) Introductions
Author: Bronwyn Dewhurst
Date:   04-20-17 18:54

Will looked at Tessa, and then at the boy she had just introduced as her boyfriend. When his gaze swept back to Tessa, Will asked, "Aren't you a little young to be dating?"

"I'm fourteen," Tessa replied. "Isn't that old enough?"

"Kate was at least a year older than you when she brought home her first boyfriend," Will replied with a shrug. He didn't know what to make of this new development.

"Well, Sir, if I may…" Chip began, stuttering slightly at not being so easily accepted, though he was not exactly being rejected either.

"It's all right, Skip," Will replied, holding up his hands. "You don't have to explain yourself. I'm just surprised, is all."

"Chip," Chip said, in a low tone.

"Well, now that this is out of the way," Tessa hurriedly interjected in an effort to change the subject, "why don't we have a snack?"

The odd threesome went inside to the Common Common Room, both for sustenance but also for warmth. They sat at the bar, which surprisingly had three empty barstools side by side, and ordered hot cocoas and slices of chocolate cake.

Tessa sat in the middle between her boyfriend and guardian. "I found this necklace in one of my eggs," she told Will, while hooking her thumb under a pendant that looked like the glass that held the Hufflepuff House Points in the Great Hall. The pendant was filled with tiny yellow stones. "I've been wondering if I found a Hufflepuff necklace by chance, or if it is a Hufflepuff necklace because I found it."

"That's an interesting question," Will said. "What else did you find?"

Tessa told him about some of the prizes she'd found but admitted she had yet to open all her eggs. Because the egg hunt wasn't over yet, she would probably go search for more after their snack. Will wasn't planning on staying long, but he'd been in the neighborhood and had known that an event was taking place at the school. Tessa was going home for Easter, so they'd see each other soon, but neither minded seeing each other sooner than scheduled. Tessa thought it was nice having a parental figure who actually cared, and Will was glad to have her in his life.

The three took their time snacking and talking, but eventually they said their goodbyes.

Egg Hunting With Larkin (Miranda)
Author: Majandra
Date:   04-20-17 19:39

Thought not a Hogwarts students, Miranda is with Larkin hunting for eggs. She did start out in one of the "underage" sections before Larkin appeared but was glad to leave it behind. Though that particular section is geared for those in Miranda's age range, she'd much rather go around with her cousin who isn't supposed to collect eggs from sections such as that one unless helping another who is supposed to collect that such a section.

Anyway, Miranda is ten. She'll be eleven in September. She thinks it's bloody horrid she won't be allowed to start Hogwarts September 1st and says so now. "I can't believe they're making me wait a whole other year."

Without having to ask Larkin knows what Miranda means. "I know. We'll be two years apart instead of just one. It hardly seems fair." She goes up on tip toe, stretching to reach a splash of vibrant blues and yellows.

"It's not that I want to come live at Hogwarts and be at school allllll the time." Miranda, dropping a shiny silver egg into her basket shrugs. "I miss doing things with you."

"We're doing something together now but I know what you mean." Spotting an egg with Gryffindor-ish colors, Larkin snags it but pauses before adding it to her own basket.

"You think it's got something Gryffindor in it?"

"Yeah, maybe."

They've both done enough of these Hogwarts egg hunts to know what the outside of an egg only sometimes is a clue to what's inside. Miranda suddenly grins. "Maybe it's something from another house."

"Ravenclaw would be okay since Seth is one but I don't know if I'd have a reason to wear anything Hufflepuff or Slytherin. I don't have anything against those houses but can't think of why I'd have a reason to wear clothes or jewelry or something for one of them."

"Open it now if you really want to know."

Larkin gently tosses the egg up and catches it. "I'll open this one if you go on and open one of yours."

Miranda selects the silvery egg she'd found a minute ago. The cousins open the eggs at roughly the same time. Miranda's turns out to hold a small silvery money bag that in turn holds a number of shiny silver sickles. Even as she tucks the egg and pouch with sickles back into her basket, Miranda is mentally spending the money.

Larkin's egg has a small doll sized looking leather jacket that while not bearing anything overtly Gryffindor is of colors that bring that house to mind. There is also a slip of parchment. The parchment instructs Larkin to put on the jacket. Frowning at the small garment Larkin puts down the egg pieces and the parchment to make an effort. It takes Miranda helping but as she works to get the jacket on, the jacket expands to fit. Before she knows it, the jacket is exactly her size and remains that way when she takes it off. Pleased with her prize, Larkin decides to put it back on, at least for awhile, as Miranda and she give their attention back over to finding more eggs.

[Harley & Dave] Hunting Together
Author: S Snape
Date:   04-21-17 14:35

Harley and David had started out hunting eggs with others, Harley with her roommate Selma and Dave with his roommates Louis and Adiran. They'd ended drifting together after their friends' respective family members arrived to spend some time. Gran and Dad had wanted to come if they could have managed but Gran couldn't get out of a scheduled double at the hospital and there's some training seminar that's mandatory for Dad.

As Dave reaches for an egg with a green camouflage pattern he says out of the blue, "She can't make me go, can she?"

"Judge said we can decide now."

"Then I'm not going."

"Not sure I will either."

"So you might?" Dave is incredulous.

"I don't know."

"Why would you want to? That place is bloody awful."

"She is our mum."

"Our mum in prison."

Harley plucks up a pale orange egg with sparkly darker orange flecks. When she says nothing Dave expands. "Our mum in prison for attempted murder."

"Among other things."

"That's the worst part of it." Dave nearly stumbles over a large, ostrich sized egg. As it's massive and a blind you it's so bright neon green he can't understand how he had missed seeing it.

"No, the worst part is who she tried to kill."

Dave goes quiet. It's a full five minutes before he finally says, "Yeah."

Harley is examining a tiny dark purple egg when he says it. She holds the egg for him to see. "What could be in there?"

Dave's eyes scrunch as if in thought. He ends up shrugging. "Dunno. It's magic. Could be as big as the castle."

Subject effectively changed, at least for the moment, Harley tells Dave about one egg Selma had opened. "Had two real looking swords but sharps as the edges look they wouldn't so much as nick a finger. The swords came out fighting,"

"Dueling," Dave inserts.

"Yeah, dueling, then stopped and hung there in the air waiting for Selma and me to do something."

"So what did you do?"

"Dueled of course."

Dave peers into his basket. "Any of mine look like that one? Those sound wicked."

Harley inspects his eggs. "That one thought not quite."

Dave debates all of two seconds opening the egg right then. He decides against just yet. "Let's keep hunting. The more we each get, the more stuff, even if it's just candy, we get."

Harley is in full agreement with that line of thinking. They hunt and talk more, though not about their mother and her growing insistence they come for a visit during Eater holiday, taking a break only to get a snack and drinks and even then they found eggs that somehow had gone overlooked in the Commons until then.

Weasleys at the Egg Hunt
Author: Bill Weasley
Date:   04-21-17 17:48

Bill, Fleur, Victoire, Dominique, and Louis roamed the Hogwarts grounds for the Easter egg hunt. The girls had insisted on wearing Easter dresses, though with the weather being what it was, they were also wearing warm coats. Victoire carried a pink basket, Dominique carried a yellow basket, and Louis, dressed more casually than his sisters, was carrying a blue basket.

At nearly eight years old, Victoire had little trouble finding eggs. Not quite six year old Dominique also fared well in the egg hunting department. Louis, being only three, sometimes needed his parents' or older siblings' help.

Victoire spotted an egg covered in rhinestones and squealed with delight. "Oh, it's so pretty!" she gushed. "I hardly want to open it."

"Open it!" Dominique insisted, having hurried to her sister's side to see what had Victoire so excited. "There's probably a matching dress inside of it!"

At that, Victoire pried open her egg. A matching dress did come out, but it was on a very pretty doll with hair very similar in color and texture to Victoire's own.

"Ooh, what will you name 'er?" Fleur asked.

"Hmmmmmmm…" Victoire thought out loud. "I think I'll call her Adriana."

Fleur looked surprised and then cut her eyes to Bill, as if he were to blame for Victoire naming her doll after his evil ex-girlfriend. In reality, she'd probably heard the name a lot because it was often in the news and a popular topic of conversation.

"That's a dumb name," Dominique announced. "You should call her something else."

"I think that's a good idea, Sweetheart," Bill added.

Victoire didn't seem insulted and started thinking of a new name for her new doll.

Bill inwardly breathed a sigh of relief at not having to think of the real Adriana every time Victoire talked to her doll. Unfortunately, the real Adriana was now on his mind because of the recent mention. She had been on the lam for years and an end to her terror didn't seem to be in sight. Bill wondered what she was up to at that very moment.

What the real Adriana was up to was eating Cadbury Easter eggs. She'd loved them as a child growing up in Muggle New York, but they were somehow better now that she was eating them in their country of origin.

She discarded another foil wrapper after squeezing it into a tiny mass and looked over at the Dark Lord, who now sat in her place in the library. He was still working on getting caught up on everything he'd missed during his time away. Once he was sufficiently informed, he planned on making his presence known to the world.

"How many of those confections do you intend to eat in one sitting?" he asked, without lifting his eyes from an old newspaper.

Adriana frowned, feeling like a child getting scolded for spoiling her dinner on sweets. "I haven't eaten that many," she said.

Voldemort's red, slitted eyes lifted from the newspaper, regarded Adriana who had a box of half-eaten Cadbury creme eggs in her lap, and then resumed reading the news. "Go for a walk in the garden," he ordered.

Adriana, who was no longer the boss, could only comply to her master's command.

Cheeky
Author: Georgia Copperpot
Date:   04-22-17 18:57

"That's too awful to watch," Libby proclaims at the sight of Georgia pecking Sage on the cheek.

"A peck on the cheek is awful?" Georgia's face is scrunched in confusion.

Sage just chuckles as he walks off with Saffron's son Brandon to take the boy to the loo.

Libby's mouth and nose are wrinkled in such a way as to suggest she's just smelled a gag worthy odor. "Disgusting."

"You're stranger than a stranger in strange land."

"You shouldn't be snogging where we students can see you."

"A tiny kiss on the cheek is not snogging. It wouldn't even be a real snog if I'd given Sage a single kiss on the lips."

"Oooooh. Gross! Don't talk like that about my future husband."

Georgia laughs and gives a shake of her head. "Still on that are you? Sage and I are engaged you know. We're narrowing down dates."

"The sex god went barmy for some reason, probably a virus. Made him do silly things like say he wanted to marry you. He'll come around soon enough."

"So does that mean you don't want to be a bridesmaid in the wedding?"

"Cheeky monkey wants me in the wedding?"

"Mad as you are, definitely not of sound mind, you are still my only sister."

"When the sex god divorces you to marry me, will you be a bridesmaid in our wedding?"

"Suuure."

"Okay then. I'll be in yours."

"Excellent."

"Are you being sarcastic, Cheeky Monkey?"

"I don't know how to be sarcastic, or even a little cheeky."

"Hmmmph."

"Opened any eggs yet?"

"No, and I need to go find more."

Libby skips off without a goodbye, going in search of eggs. She had thought about searching some with Edwina and Bertie but that would mean one of them might get to an egg before her and claiming she saw it first only works so many times before they stop cooperating.
