(Adriana) DE Meeting
Author: Bill Weasley
Date:   09-07-15 11:19

Adriana sat at the head of a long table recently installed at the abbey and listened as Gibbon described pertinent observations he had made while working undercover as an intern in the Minister of Magic's office. Ivanova sat next to her and recorded everything being said. Gibbon was in a prime position and had learned information of great value to the cause. The only thing he didn't speak about was the secret task Adriana had asked him to undertake, but Gibbon didn't have any information on that front anyway.

The elder Goyle spoke next. He had been posing as Aris Sisco every now and again and had popped up in different corners of the world to send out postcards, both marking Aris' continual existence in the world and exhibiting wanderlust. Thus, "Aris" was kept away from London and those he knew. However, the time had come to put an end to Aris once and for all. While in Indonesia only yesterday, Goyle had murdered a Muggle tourist and placed the body too close to Mount Sinabung. The lava flow had overtaken the body, and Goyle, posing as another tourist, had notified the authorities of what he had witnessed. It wouldn't be long before news of Aris' death reached home.

Nicolas Blackthorn reported on his recent addition to the Wizengamot. His being only one opinion, he couldn't yet shape justice in the favor of the Death Eaters, but the idea was to eventually see more of Adriana's followers joins the Wizengamot or earn other powerful positions at the Ministry of Magic. Existing employees could also be swayed, either voluntarily or by force. Having a majority of government officials favoring the ideals of the Death Eaters was an increasingly realistic dream.

Nicolas' wife had also begun working at the Ministry of Magic. Eleanor worked in the Printing Office, and if everything went to plan, would one-day print propaganda for the cause.

The other Death Eaters went around the table and spoke of their projects and what news they had heard that would be of interest to Adriana. Most of her followers had answered her summons, but a few were absent and had better have good reason. The one she had hoped to see the most was Mimsy. He hadn't checked in with her in weeks. Adriana hoped it was because he was so deep undercover he couldn't take even one second to send her a message and not because he'd been compromised. With the head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement in her pocket, however, Adriana figured she would know if Mimsy had gotten caught in the act of spying at Hogwarts.

After everybody spoke, talk turned to the major event planned for this summer. It was sure to be a shock and not at all what the wizarding world was expecting.

Class of 1999
Author: Bronwyn Dewhurst
Date:   09-07-15 11:56

Bronwyn made the rounds at The Three Broomsticks, greeting old professors and classmates, which included a couple of ex-boyfriends. Up until this morning, Toby had planned on being her date to the Class of 1999 Reunion, but he had woken up with chest congestion and couldn't stop coughing. She had left him at home in Greenwich with a pot of hot tea and tucked in bed with blankets up to his chin.

Without Toby to be her plus one, Bronwyn put her head in the fireplace to chat with Chance. Chance may not have graduated from Hogwarts, but if she hadn't transferred away, then she would have been part of the Class of 1999. Bronwyn thought Chance might want to reconnect with her old teachers and classmates and was right. Chance worked a circuit around the room, too.

They eventually met up at the bar and sat down on stools next to each other.

"Thanks again for inviting me, Bronwyn," Chance said, smiling brightly.

"You can thank Toby for getting sick!" Bronwyn exclaimed.

She sipped a fruity mixed drink Madam Rosmerta set before her and glanced at the door. There was at least one other person missing from the festivities, besides her husband: Desi.

Bronwyn sort of doubted her friend would show up, considering her undercover work, but her fingers were crossed that Desi would surprise her. It had been so very long since they had seen or talked to each other.

Chance mistook Bronwyn's silent contemplation for the continued troubles plaguing the Family Beck. The latest victim had been Katherine, whose name had been slung through the mud quite unexpectedly and completely without any basis of truth. The theory was that Rita Skeeter held some sort of grudge against her, but why or what, was anybody's guess.

"I know it's all just a coincidence that bad things seem to be happening to everybody in your family all at once, but are you worried you might be next?" Chance asked.

Bronwyn shook her head. "No, not really. It IS just one coincidence after another, right? Why should I be worried? That's just being superstitious. Besides, I figure my name would have come up before yours and Jonathan's." She grinned playfully at her friend.

Chance laughed. "Oh yeah. I think I'd know if Katherine were having an affair with my husband… and with me!"

Bronwyn laughed too. "Hey, it might put a little thrill into your relationship, not that you probably need it. Jonathan is…" Bronwyn licked her lips. "…delectable."

Chance giggled. "You got that right!"

"Say, what do you think he's up to this evening?"

"Probably bemoaning the fact that I'm having a girl's night with you and not keeping him company on a Saturday night." Chance winked. "Seriously, he's probably listening to some sportscast on the WWN."

"Toby too, though I hope he's sleeping."

The door opened and the bell overhead tinkled. Bronwyn turned toward him, hoping with baited breath to see Desi, but it was only Professor Snape. He saw the disappointed look on Bronwyn's face and dryly remarked, "Your distaste is duly noted, Miss Dewhurst."

He swept past to engage Professor McGonagall in conversation.

Bronwyn and Chance looked at each other and burst into laughter.

Attending The Reunion
Author: Sirius Padfoot Black
Date:   09-07-15 15:03

Although he'd never taught anyone from the class of 1999 as current Hogwarts professor Sirius had been invited to the reunion. Initially, Drucilla and he hadn't been sure they would attend but as the date drew nearer they decided why not? Besides, several friends would be in attendance including Ginny and her plus one Harry. With the four children with their Aunt Tonks and Uncle Remus, the Eternal-Blacks found themselves looking forward to an evening out in the company of other adults.

The first person they actually greet upon entering The Three Broomsticks is Neville Longbottom. Shaking his hand Sirius comments, "Pleasant surprise seeing you this evening."

Neville cocks his head towards the bar. "Hannah's working and I thought I'd help out."

"If you two have time to sit down for a few minutes, we'd love to catch up," Dru tells him.

"You really just want to get some advice on those new roses you planted," Neville jokes.

"Well...," Dru says with a laugh.

"We'll come find you in a bit, even if it's individually," a grinning Neville promises.

Wending their way around tables and groups of people chatting, Sirius and Dru stop to greet a few here and there, Sirius introducing Drucilla from time to time. Spotting Harry and Ginny they make their way to the table. After the hellos, Dru sits while Sirius goes to get them drinks, Harry going with him for refills. Ginny asks Dru, "How are the kids?"

"They're good. Sirius and I were just talking yesterday how we can't believe it's only two years until the twins start Hogwarts."

"Time does go by quickly. Jamie is three in November but I swear it was only a few days ago he was only a few months old."

While the women are chatting about the children Sirius and Harry are talking about much the same thing. There was a time in his life Sirius would never have thought he'd be exchanging dirty nappy catastrophe stories with the son of one of his best friends, the son who is now himself a best friend.

Rejoining the women, snacking on a few of the appetizers provided before the real food is served, Sirius relaxes, enjoying the company and enjoying having a somewhat carefree evening out with his wife.

False Life
Author: Lee Sickleby
Date:   09-08-15 17:46

Lee sat at a table with Alaia, Bronwyn, and Chance at The Three Broomsticks. Never had Lee thought he would attend his ten year class reunion with a fellow Class of 1999 graduate as not only his date but his fiancée. Wedding planning was going well, though a date had not yet been set, despite the fact the couple already had a venue. Naturally, the girls wanted to know all the details. Lee let Alaia do most of the talking.

Earlier they had both gone round and spoken to other former classmates and staff members, both current and from their time as students at Hogwarts. Lee told the same stories to everybody without variation. He talked about how he and Alaia reunited at her sweetshop and bakery in Diagon Alley and about his dull job at the Ministry––the fake one, of course.

Lee felt a little bad about lying to the faces of everyone he reconnected with, even the people he hadn't liked much back at Hogwarts and those he wasn't sure he liked now. He couldn't tell anybody the true nature of his work, though. Not even Alaia.

"So, Lee," Bronwyn began, when she had finally gotten enough of Alaia's wedding planning stories. "Do you think you'll ever go for a promotion in your department at the Ministry? Being a clerk must be terribly dull work, and after so many years!"

Lee smiled and shrugged. "I like keeping my head down, actually. Rise too high, you get noticed more. I'd rather do menial work with little scrutiny than have everyone watching and potentially criticizing what I do."

"Well, if it makes you happy," said Bronwyn, who didn't at all mind being noticed.

Lee chuckled. "It pays the bills, at least."

Bronwyn grinned. "Weddings are very expensive!"

"Tell me about it!"

Catching Up (Parker)
Author: Blossom
Date:   09-08-15 18:14

As the Three Broomsticks filled with members of the Hogwarts Class of 1999, the plus ones, and various guests the noise level within the pub has grown. Parker Matthews leans in close to Bill Turner to ask, "Still with Elizabeth Swann, Bill?"

Bill, who'd been a Slytherin to Parker's Hufflepuff, hooks a thumb over a shoulder, "Yeah, she's over there somewhere. Lizzy and I got married just over a year after leaving Hogwarts. What about you?"

"I'm married. Tracey Davis. She was a year ahead of us." Parker points to his wife across the room in conversation with Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley Potter.

"I remember Tracey. She was Slytherin too."

"Right. She and I were both at St. Emrys, got to talking and one thing led to another. Now we have two kids, Euan and Bridget."

Bill grins. "We've got three."

He whips out photos and after Parker has done the same, the conversation turn with Bill telling Parker what Lizzie and he do then asking, "What about you?"

"I'm with the Ministry's Department of Magical Games and Sports and Tracey is a lawyer."

Bill asks a few questions about the specifics of Parker's work and that leads to them talking about games and sports in general, which in turn leads to a rousing discussion on the current state of the British and Irish Quidditch League. When Bill gets called away by a former roommate Parker realizes this has been the longest conversation he ever had with Bill, who wasn't one of the friendliest people while they were at Hogwarts. Bill bought into the whole Slytherin against everyone else mentality of the time, as Tracey had done, so most of his best chums around school were Slytherin. Anyone else was more of an acquaintance.

Getting up to get a fresh drink, Parker soon finds himself deep in conversation with two of the Diether Jameson, Kennard Philips, and Colin Creevy.*

*In the novels, Colin Creevy is killed by a Death Eater during the battle for Hogwarts. In the Hogwarts version, he is still very much alive.

Invited
Author: Jet
Date:   09-09-15 11:04

Jet had been somewhat surprised to receive an invitation to the Hogwarts Class of 1999 reunion. Then again, he supposed it made sense in a way. If not for vanishing for a few years, trapped in a pendant but believed to be dead, he would have end his Hogwarts school career in 1999 along with the rest of the class.

He flip flopped on whether he'd go right up until shortly before the reunion was due to begin. Deciding he would like to see some of these people and curious to learn what became of a few others, Jet apparated to Hogsmeade only to stand outside The Three Broomsticks long enough to have someone accuse him of loitering and to move along.

Jet had no one to invite to attend the reunion with him. He might have considered asking Petra if she didn't already have something going this evening but knowing she would have to say no, he didn't even mention the reunion to her. Since the whole thing with Emerson, someone he liked rather a lot turning out to be using him for a greater agenda that led to Jet being held captive for months, he's been wary of dating. The closest he's gotten to another female is to one of the hit wizards who was on his detail for a time and though they've grabbed a meal from time to time neither would consider those times as dates. Jet isn't that concerned about showing up to the reunion alone as he's likely not the only one without the plus one mentioned on the invitation but he will be one of the few, or suspects he will be.

Only one way to find out.

Watching the smiling, laughing people through the windows Jet propels himself forward to the door. Taking a deep breath he plunges inside, his eyes adjusting from the difference in light before he moves further into the building's interior. He's almost immediately greeted by Filius Flitwick, who upon learning that Jet is now working in the Ministry's Department of Magical Research, invited him to sit while the diminutive professor quizzed him about the research Jet is currently doing.

No sooner has Professor Flitwick and he wrapped their conversation with a promise from Jet to keep better in touch then he finds himself talking with Luna Lovegood Scamander and her husband Rolf. Before he knows it, Jet has spoken with half of his former classmates in attendance and is, along with a few others, attempting to figure out who has not yet made an appearance and who may not show at all.

(Jonathan) Sweet as Cherries
Author: Chance Morgan Lovell
Date:   09-09-15 11:19

Jonathan couldn't believe what he had read a few days before in the Daily Prophet about Katherine; he was angry on her behalf. It wasn't that he was in love with her or anything he just enjoyed the intimacy that he got from her the feelings were all new and there was a rush of adrenaline when they were together.

Katherine lay in his arms in bed and she breathed in his scent and smiled. He could feel the smile form on her face and he leaned down and kissed the top of her head.

"You know you're fiancé is going to kill you, right?"

"I don't plan on her finding out." He said.

"What about the article that Rita Skeeter wrote?" She asked. "Has she seen it?"

"Yes – and she was outraged at what it said but knew that it was all false. She knows I'd never do anything like this…" He paused mid-sentence and then sighed because he was doing just what Chance thought that he would never do. It hurt him that he was doing this to Chance but after losing both of the babies she was just different with him it was almost as if she blamed him for the loss of the babies.

"Wow, she didn't even question it?"

"Nope." He said and then changed the subject by pulling her up to him so he could kiss her lips; they were sweet as cherries and he loved kissing her.

Reunion
Author: Lawrence Masterson
Date:   09-09-15 11:28

Lawrence had considered not going to the reunion tonight, but ultimately the decision was made because it would be good for he and Ariella to get out of the house and at least pretend that their lives were normal instead of still - so many months later - processing the fact that their infant daughter was still missing.

Currently they were talking to Bronwyn and Chance over drinks and attempting to choose subjects that did not circle around to the string of bad luck that seemed to be plaguing the Beck family in one form or another. This year seemed to be riddled with pitfalls for anyone tied to the Beck name as of late, and no one could begin to put their finger on why.

The noise level was adequate to distract at least Lawrence from his own thoughts, and he caught up with a few other classmates and colleagues throughout The Three Broomsticks until the food was served. Snacking on a few of the appetizers and at least attempting to have a good time and not dwell on the fact that there had still been no new information on the kidnapping of his daughter.

Between the noise and the close proximity of bodies, Lawrence took a few moments and stepped outside and turned his gaze upward. He had no idea who to pray to, but like every night since his daughter went missing another prayer was offered to the heavens and he downed the remainder of his drink before heading back inside to get a refresher, and ultimately find his wife who was currently talking weddings with Chance, Bronwyn and Alaia who was with Lee Sickleby.

Cheaters
Author: Chance Morgan Lovell
Date:   09-09-15 11:39

It was strange seeing all the old people and teachers from Hogwarts but at the same time it was nice. Chance sat with Bronwyn, Alaia and Lee, Jonathan had to work so he was not able to make it.

"So how are things with you and your fiancé?" A former Slytherin asked her. "I hear that Katherine Spinnet is servicing both you and your fiancé. "

Chance's face blushed and she looked him dead in the eye and said that the rumors were untrue. The argument was about to ensue when Lee and Alaia walked up, "Is everything alright, Chance?" Lee asked.

She nodded her head and turned on her heels and walked away. Alaia looked after her and then turned to the former Slytherin and then walked away without comment.

Tears were in Chance's eyes when she reached the restroom. She wanted to believe the rumors were not true that he wasn't cheating on her but he she had noticed that he had been acting different towards her. She had also noticed that there was something that looked like lipstick on the collar of one of his robes. It sickened her that he might be cheating on her.

The door to the restroom opened and Alaia walked in. "Are you alright?"

"No. I think I want to go home." She said. "I think the rumors about Jonathan and Katherine Spinnet are true. I think he is having an affair with her."

"Oh, Chance. I am sorry." Alaia said and hugged the other woman. "I am…I wish there was something I could do for you."

"Thanks" She said and stepped back and looked at Alaia. "You are lucky you have a good man."

Alaia nodded and when Bronwyn walked into the restroom Chance flashed her a fake smile and then with a pop disapperated home she was going to confront Jonathan.

Confrontation
Author: Chance Morgan Lovell
Date:   09-09-15 18:49

Chance sat in the kitchen a glass in one hand and an open bottle of wine in the other. She poured herself another drink and then took a sip.

The door opened and closed and Jonathan walked in and noticed her purse was on the table – he called to her and looked around the living room before he found her in the kitchen at the table.

"Hi honey. How are you? Did you have a good time at the reunion?"

"Don't hi honey me!" She growled. "Where were you today?"

Jonathan's jaw set firm and he began to sweat he knew he was caught. "I was with Katherine Spinnet…we were working on an article."

"Yeah, I'll bet you were working really hard while you were getting it on with her. I know you've been having sex with her for a while now. I think I've known since the beginning – you just didn't do a good job of hiding it Jonathan."

"Chance I'm sorry."

"I don't care. I don't want to hear it! I want you out of this house tonight. Get your shit and get out! I don't ever want to see you again." She set the wine bottle down and the glass that had been in her other hand and twisted her ring off and threw it at him, "and you can have that back!"

Tears streamed down her face and she picked up her wine glass again and began gulping it down before pouring another.

Jonathan bit his lip and walked away. He went upstairs and began packing his things.
