Early Dinner
Author: Kissy Isuki
Date:   03-03-13 17:51

Though still somewhat early despite the slowing darkening sky, Cameron and Kissy leave Hogsmeade for an early supper. Rather than returning to Hogwarts Castle and preparing something in their flat they go to a restaurant with Cuban and other Caribbean inspired cuisine that Cameron was recently introduced to by a coworker.

Both are tired and as soon as they are seat Kissy jokingly asks, "You think anyone would mind if I took my shoes off and made you give me a foot massage?"

"Given that I know how much you've been on your feet today and I am about to order food, I would mind."

"Even if I used a quick cleaning spell?" Kissy mock pouts.

Cameron flashes her one of his brilliant smiles. "I love you, honey, but no."

Kissy makes a kissy face at him then both grinning they turn their attention to looking over the menu. After they've placed their orders Kissy asks, "How was your day?"

Cameron, who'd gone in to work to cover for someone recovering from a ruptured appendix, lifts both hands in a sort of shrug. "Oh, fine enough I suppose. We had a few minor problems to fix. One bigger. That was it. Nothing exciting but in my line of work that can be a good thing since exciting may also mean someone injured or worse. How was yours?"

"It was good overall. I did my shift on patrol but everyone seemed to be on their best behavior, or they were whenever I was around. I lunched with some of the other professors and I took advantage of the added sales to entice the students to buy."

"So I noticed from the shopping bags. Did you pick up the pendant?"

"I did. I do so hope she likes it." Kissy roots around in one of the bags, searching for a small jeweler's box. Finding it she hands it over for Cameron to see.

"She'll like it," he assures.

"I'm a little concerned it will make her sad."

"It might but she'll also appreciate the thought."

The she in question is Roisin McCray. When Kissy had drawn the name she'd given some thought to a gift. An idea came to her but it would require the help of Roisin's family. She'd written the uncle who is now listed as Roisin's guardian asking for a small picture of Roisin's somewhat recently deceased father, explaining the reason behind the request. Mr. McCray had been polite and helpful, forthcoming with a photograph in a very short time.

Photo in hand Kissy had looked for a locket into which she could put the photo, and was ready to have the photograph sized down if necessary. Finding a locket she thought lovely Kissy had the photo put on one side of the locket and had the facing side engraved with the simple words With You Always.

Not wanting to dwell on a potentially sad topic, Cameron and Kissy discuss the other gifts she'd bought and start a list of who else they need to buy for and possible presents for those people.

The New Job
Author: Christina Sorcha
Date:   03-03-13 23:37

A month had nearly passed since Sorcha had been released from the abbey. At first plans were made to return to her son. However, looking at the photos Adriana had handed to her kept them from being any more than wishful thinking. Until Theodore was safely away from Adriana's grasp, Sorcha had no choice, but to do what she was told. She did, however, drop a letter off in a muggle postbox for her son, with no return address. At the very least she could apologize to him for leaving.

It had taken some time, and several steps to establish a cover identity. She started to use the name Dierna Yates, since 'Christina Sorcha' was currently in South America. She had changed her appearance. Her hair turned auburn, eyes from their normally blue color to a hazel. Her skin tone was also changed, as was her figure. While she was at it, she decided to take a few years off as well.

She had also managed to gain employment at the MoM, as part of the Magical Maintenance Department. She had spent the last week training under Mrs. Higginsworth, a kind older witch who had been showing her around. Sorcha had to follow her all week, to learn the layout and what to do where.

Today should have been a day off. However, one of the maintenance wizards had come down ill. Ever eager to please her new bosses, Sorcha volunteered for the extra shift. She was a little sleep deprived, but it was her first chance to be completely unsupervised since starting the job.

Her day had consisted of cleaning offices and break rooms. Places mostly empty over the weekend. She had come across a curious trail of snack food wrappers, crumbs, and the occasional half-eaten treat. They were in a few offices of higher ranked lawyers in the legal department.

Following the trail until now late in the day, and cleaning it as she went, it finally led to the office of Garrick Outterridge, the head of the Legal Division in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Sorcha opened the door, only to quickly discover a young man kicked back sitting at the desk, feet resting upon the top of the desk next to a sprawled bag of potato chips, coffee mug in hand. He shot upright when he saw her.

"Who do you think you are?" He asked angrily.

"Dierna," Sorcha replied, "I'm sorry, I didn't…"

"What are you doing in here?" He asked calmer, speaking with an American accent.

"Cleaning, I didn't know…" Sorcha replied, keeping her head down, barely raising it to glimpse at the man.

"You have any idea who I am?" He asked.

"No. I'm new and…" She answered, but stopped when he held up a hand to silence her. He looked over Sorcha for a moment, then stood and walked around the desk. Half way to the door he upturned his still mostly full coffee. He let it slowly empty onto the floor, looking at her while he did it.

"Clean that up. If it's not spotless tomorrow, I'll be talking to your supervisor. Got it?" Sorcha hastily nodded a response. He walked out of the room, shoulder checking her out of his way, nearly knocking her over.

The moment the door closed Sorcha stood up straight, and looked at the door. Any sign of being intimidated completely gone. She did know who he was, she'd seen his Statue of Liberty coffee mug before, and she knew that this was not his office. A moment passed before she looked around, alone.

(Evelyn) Kindness
Author: Johanna Steele
Date:   03-04-13 02:48

Evelyn was at her dormitory, located in the dungeons. Her bed was filled with shopping bags and whenever she took something out of it her friends would exclaim in admiration.

Envirude's hands were holding a scarf and she caressed it with her fingers, as if for a moment such piece of cloth belonged to her and not to her friend. Dinah have gone even further and she had tried one of Evelyn's dresses and she was admiring her figure on the mirror. Evelyn was pleased to notice her friend didn't look as good as her on such dress, although in Dinah's mind she was the prettiest one.

"What do you think about this one?" Evelyn then asked, taking a jacket out of another bag, and presenting it to her friends.

"I like it!" Envirude said, her hands dropping the scarf and eagerly moving towards the jacket. But Evelyn took it away before she could touch it.

"Careful now. This is my Secret Santa gift."

"To who?" Dinah asked, still with the dress on. There was a trace of jealousy in her question, as she too looked at the jacket.

"Hydrangea Marchbanks."

"I thought you didn't like her," Envirude declared.

Evelyn put the jacket back inside the bag. It was not that she liked or disliked Hydrangea. She didn't even know her. But she had seen her performance during the school's play and she had been jealous of her talent. She had used her sharp tongue to try and diminish her talent in front of her friends and it seemed that neither of them had forgotten that.

"It's Christmas time. We have to be kind with each other," she replied. "Besides, Hydrangea is Baron's sister. If I offered her a not so good present, word might get out. We must offer nice gifts if later we want something good in return, don't you think?"

The other two agreed. They kept looking at the items Evelyn bough from Hogsmeade. Dinah didn't seem capable of taking off Evelyn's dress and she even walked around the dorm as if it was hers. Finally she changed back to her robes, when Evelyn suggested it was better for them to go to the Great Hall and have dinner before the place would get too crowded. Evelyn wondered if perhaps she should offer that dress to Dinah, as a Christmas gift. But such idea only lasted a few moments, because she did not want her friend to be wearing such nice thing, unless she found a better dress meanwhile.

(Aleydis & Sadie) At the End of the Day
Author: Griet
Date:   03-04-13 10:02

At the end of the day, Aleydis and Sadie retired to the Hufflepuff common room to look over their haul. They had spent the day in Hogsmeade, sometimes together, sometimes with Basil or Hunter, and sometimes with the other members of their family. Both had done an exorbitant amount of shopping and had returned to the castle without any money left in the pockets.

"Blame it on the Christmas season," Sadie said, in reference to the overspending they'd both done. "Our lists were long, and it certainly didn't help that all those vendors were lined up on High Street, peddling their wares at us. I knew I should have left more money at home."

"You would have just summoned your coin purse when you needed more," Aleydis replied, laughing. "I know I probably would have done the same. There were too many good deals today."

"And too many nice things. I shouldn't have gotten anything for myself. I think that's where I went wrong."

Aleydis shrugged. "I don't see what's wrong with treating yourself every once in a while."

"I don't disagree with you, but I think I treated myself a little too nicely."

Aleydis laughed again and slid further into the comfy sofa cushion. "Show me again what you bought for… who did you get again?"

"Alastor Jenkins," Sadie answered.

"Your boyfriend's cousin, then."

"He's not my boyfriend."

"Not yet anyway. So, what did you get Alastor?"

Sadie's cheeks were flushed slightly pink. She and Hunter were still in the talking faze of their relationship, but it was pretty obvious, even to each other, that they had a connection.

"I bought him a new satchel. I noticed his old one was looking a little worn, so I hope he will like a new one."

Sadie produced the leather satchel for Aleydis to inspect. It was simple, but well-crafted and could be used with an extension charm to hold all of Alastor's NEWT-level books.

"Now it's your turn," Sadie said. "What did you get my not-yet-boyfriend's little sister?"

Aleydis grinned. "So you were paying attention. I wonder why?" She sat up and reached for one of the bulging shopping bags scattered on the floor near her feet. "I saw this at one of the vendor tables and thought it was adorable," she said.

She held up a pillow shaped like a Siamese cat. Aleydis had heard that Heather had a pet cat, though not a Siamese. Hopefully she would like the gift anyway.

"That is cute!" Sadie agreed.

The girls spent the rest of the evening looking through the rest of their purchases before calling it a night.

(Ramona, Franciscus & Paton) Favors
Author: Griet
Date:   03-04-13 10:33

"Scarlet Macaw," Ramona breathlessly stated to the eagle-headed knocker on the door to the Ravenclaw common room. It accepted her answer and swung open the door, allowing her entry into the already crowded common room. Franciscus and Paton sprang up from their game of Wizard's Chess and waved her over to their small table.

"Finally!" Franciscus exclaimed.

"What do you mean finally?" Ramona asked her cousin, unloading the many bags she had carried bag from Hogsmeade.

"We've been waiting practically all day to see what you bought for us," Paton explained. He and Franciscus were merely second years and weren't yet allowed to visit Hogsmeade. They had begged Ramona to buy gifts for their respective Secret Santas. She had agreed after they'd each given her money and free reign to buy whatever she thought would be best for the names they had drawn for the annual gift exchange.

"It wasn't exactly easy selecting three different Secret Santa gifts, and one for a professor, no less," Ramona said, pulling an unoccupied chair over from a nearby table. She sat down, and the boys resume their seats as well but left their game of chess abandoned for the moment.

"You boys better like what I picked out, because I'm not going to return anything, not even by owl!" Ramona stated, eyeing first one and then the other to make sure they understood.

They nodded. "Okay, okay. Just show us already," Franciscus pleaded.

Ramona sighed and said, "All right." She sifted through the various bags she'd dropped onto the floor and found the one in which Franciscus could find the gift for his Secret Santa recipient and then the one with Paton's gift.

The boys opened their sacks and removed the items they found. Paton had drawn Gus Hodfuffer's name. Ramona had found a handsome, dark blue jumper that was not only soft and comfortable but would keep Gus warm throughout the next few winter-cold months. Franciscus had drawn Professor Douglass's name. For the History of Magic professor, Ramona had made a wonderful find. She had picked up peanutbutter cookies stamped with an ancient language called Cuneiform. Surely a history lover would enjoy them.

"Well?" Ramona asked.

The boys nodded. "We approve," Franciscus said for the both of them.

"Thanks," Ramona wryly replied.

"Did you get something for your Secret Santa?" Paton asked, putting the cookies back into the sack, even though it looked like he might like to taste one or two.

"I did," Ramona said, retrieving a small bag containing a small jewelry box. Inside was a silver ring with a green stone. "This is for Amorica Wenlock. She's in Slytherin."

"We know," Franciscus stated. "She's in our year."

"Well, I didn't know that until I did some asking around," Ramona said. "Anyway, the ring made me think of Slytherin, so that's why I got it for her. It's pretty, too."

The boys shrugged, having no interest in jewelry. They were more interested in resuming the chess match. Ramona watched them for a little while and then retired to her dorm room with her purchases, glad Franciscus and Paton were okay with the gifts she'd gotten for their Secret Santa recipients.

After Supper (Leo)
Author: Phinfilius
Date:   03-04-13 18:35

As a first year Leo Marchbanks couldn't go into Hogsmeade, much as he would have liked to. He's heard rumors of secret passageways from the school into the village but no one he's spoken with has actually seen the entrance to one of these passageways and no one seems to have any real idea of where to look. One entrance was said to be accessed by tapping a specific pattern on some of the stonework just down from Argus Filch's office. So far only one person has attempted opening the entrance but all that happened was Filch came storming out of his office demanding to know what all that incessant tapping was about. Leo heard Filch gave the detention of scrubbing his office, the other rooms along that corridor, and the hallway itself.

With no secret pathway clear, at least as far he's aware, Leo spent much of the day at the workshop held at the pitch. Professor Krum ended the workshop as the sun was starting to set, which meant it wasn't even 4 pm yet. Though sweaty from participating in the workout Leo was also cold from the chill air. Wanting to warm up some he and a couple of his friends went for a dip in heated Hogwarts pool. Between the workshop and swimming for a short time the boys had worked up an appetite so after changing into fresh clothes they'd gone to the Great Hall where they all ate heartily.

From the Great Hall they went to the commons because Leo and Pedro Garcia, who are dorm mates, wanted to keep hanging out with Ollie Choate and Hiram Young, who are both Ravenclaw to Pedro's and Leo's Gryffindor.

With the commons, and the rest of the castle for that matter, festooned for the holidays, and with a massive tree in the commons under which there are already a goodly number of presents, the talk naturally turned to their respective Christmas wish lists and to the school's Secret Santa. After Pedro has told them all about his mum making a mistake and sending something filly and lacy pink for a bloke, having them all laughing at picturing the intended recipient in Mrs. Garcia's gift choice, and after Ollie's gone on for awhile about his difficulty in selecting something decent within the budget his parents set for him, Leo is asked, "What about you?"

"I've a seventh year. That chap that was Sorted when we were. Colin Hawke."

"He got Slytherin, right? Getting him a toy snake, aren't you," Pedro jokes.

"Sure, and it speaks Parseltongue too," Leo jokes. "Actually, Mum sent me some catalogues in which she'd marked some suggestions after I let her know who I had drawn and told her some stuff about Colin. Hydrangea volunteered to look in Hogsmeade today before I had to let Mum know anything. She found something and left it on my bed. It's just a shirt. A black one, but it's sort of cool looking I think. I have to wrap it or see if I can get her to help me." Looking to Hiram he prompts, "Your turn."

When Hiram's filled them in on his own search for a Secret Santa gift Leo says, "I'm getting something to drink. Want me to bring any of you something?"

A few minutes later, drinks and second dessert of fairy cakes that had been on a platter at the bar when Leo had gone for the beverages, the conversation turns to what they each plan to do over the upcoming Christmas holiday from school.

Shopping Together (Glori & Hydrangea)
Author: Phinfilius
Date:   03-04-13 19:16

Hydrangea and Glori has spent much of the day together, parting for a time when someone in a shoppe ran into Hydrangea and gotten her top covered in something red and sticky which neither she nor Glori were able to remove using any of the cleaning spells they know. After the boy had profusely apologized and offered to pay for any damage, Hydrangea had traipsed back to the castle to change. As long as she was going, she carried back the items Glori and she had gotten thus far, including a shirt she'd picked for cutie Colin Hawke as a Secret Santa gift to Colin from her brother Leonine.

At that point she had not yet found anything for her own Secret Santa. Hydrangea had drawn the name of another boy she thinks is cute in a way, as do a few others given how quickly Broderick Carter got a girlfriend after starting Hogwarts. Finding a gift for him is something she hopes to do before this Hogsmeade trip officially comes to an end.

While Hydrangea was gone Glori continued looking for her own Secret Santa present to purchase. Though she'd done a little research on Arielle Kent, Glori has been somewhat stymied what to get the younger girl. Finding good gifts to give people she knows can be hard enough but when it's someone she doesn't know at all that's even more difficult. Then again, that's supposed to be part of the fun and the challenge of participating in Secret Santa.

About the time Hydrangea has located her cousin, Glori has found what she thinks might be an excellent gift for Arielle. She'd learned that while no artist herself Arielle likes artistic things and has an appreciation for the arts. She holds up a hand painted top for Hydrangea to see. "Yes? No?"

"It's pretty. Didn't you say you were told she likes light purple?"

"Yes, which is why this caught my eye."

"I say get it if you think it will fit her."

"It's the size I was given." Glori studies the top a moment longer then looks through the few other painted tops, though none seem like something a first year might fancy. "Okay, I'm getting this."

Glori heads to the register leaving Hydrangea still looking around. Nothing jumps out at her as something Broderick Carter might like or want. Rejoining Glori at the door, they walk back outside, pausing to look over the wares offered at one of the pop-up tables scattering High Street in hopes of attracting holiday shoppers. This particular cart has perfumes and colognes, all in interesting bottles but not all of them smelling that good in Hydrangea's opinion. One cologne though does smell nice and is in a neat looking bottle, not that boys tend to pay attention to whether a bottle is cool looking.

An hour later Hydrangea decides to return to that cart, buying the cologne with a little bit of a spicy undertone for Broderick. With the light gone and the temperature starting to plummet, Glori and Hydrangea debate eating dinner in Hogsmeade or going on back to Hogwarts for supper in the Great Hall. As they so rarely get to eat in Hogsmeade during the school term, they walk to the restaurant own by two of their aunts and one of their uncles. Just because they're going to eat in the village doesn't mean they need to spend money on the meal.

Not Much Alike (Baron & Gus)
Author: Phinfilius
Date:   03-04-13 20:33

At various times throughout his second Hogsmeade trip Baron Marchbanks was with one or more friends. At other times he was by himself occupied with hated shopping. Hate because Baron values his time and shopping, in his opinion, is a waste of it. He does recognize the necessity of shopping. Even with a vegetable garden, a few chickens, and even some livestock, many families still need other foodstuffs and it's not like food can be conjured from nothing. Conjuring it from elsewhere without paying is theft. The same goes for clothes and games. While he loathes using time to shop, Baron makes a point of having time for games. Being all work, all business is not always healthy. Plus, a future Minister of Magic who knows the valuve of entertainment is a positive as far as he is concerned.

Baron knows he could have asked his mother for help or turned to his sister as Leonine has done but he strongly feels he should make a personal effort to locate and purchase a Secret Santa gift. That the name he drew is none other than Hogwarts Headmistress Minerva McGonall means Baron is even more determined to do this on his own even if it means shopping. If he fails in his quest today he will turn to one of the many catalogues strewn the castle these day. If that too brings him nought only then will he turn to Ria Marchbanks with a, "Mummy, I need you."

Just prior to taking a break for the noon meal Baron experienced the thrill of success. In Rosa Lee Teabag, on a shelf in a corner, nearly hidden behind a tin meant to hold tea, he found a teapot with a Scottish landscape and tartan painted on it. Professor McGonagall may often be spotted sporting a hint of tartan. The tartan on the teapot may not be that of her clan's specifically but he has no doubt she will appreciate the gesture.

As Baron has already found gifts for his parents, something he couldn't very well ask them to get for him to simply turn around and give right back to them, he considers the shopping he absolutely must do at an end. If during the rest of his time in Hogsmeade he chances upon an item that would be perfect for his sister or one of his brothers then Baron will get it. Approaching Honeydukes, which does not count as shopping as it is sweets and sweets are fun, Baron realizes that he isn't quite done afterall. He wants to get Honeydukes gift certificates for each of his friends. As they all rather enjoy sweets quite a lot such gift certificates will be much appreciated. Gifts that are much appreciated and will be used is extremely practical as far as Baron is concerned. Retrieving a list from one pocket, he reads over it to double check he's not left anyone off. After filling a few bags of sweets for himself Baron approaches the counter, checking his list once more.

While his cousin Baron was gritting his teeth in distaste of shopping Augustus was also doing a little to aid the Hogsmeade economy. With best mate Caerwyn Valentine, Gus had played a number of games at Blossom's and had been on the lookout for Christmas gifts. Unlike Baron, Gus doesn't mind shopping that much. He doesn't love it but he doesn't hate it either.

Caerwyn had a somewhat longish lunch with his Aunt Iola so after grabbing a bite by himself, during which he read some of the latest Quidditch Weekly, Gus went to Krum's Completely Quidditch to pick up what he knew he was giving Caerwyn for Christmas, a t-shirt type shirt with the words Hufflepuff Beater and Quidditch Team Captain. Caerwyn is actually co-captain but he'd ask if that could be magically fixed. If not, he doubted captain Aleydis Vanderbilt would mind overly much that the shirt doesn't specifically read Co-Captain. He was also going to see about have Caerwyn's name put on the back. If that couldn't be done while he waited, he'd have it sent home. He would, afterall, be seeing Caerwyn some over the winter break. No need to have it owled to the dormitory where Caerwyn might ask after the package Gus received.

When going to get the shirt off the rack Gus saw a shirt he'd not noticed when in earlier. He thought it would be just right for the person whose name he'd gotten for the Hogwarts Secret Santa, Mark Farnon. The shirt has the words Slytherin Quidditch. Sandwiched between the text are two beater's bats crossed behind a version of the Slytherin crest. Like Gus, Mark plays beater for his house team so having the bats on the shirt clinched for him that it's right for Mark. The size seemed right as well, another sign he should get this for the Slytherin beater.

Pleased with having stumbled onto a shirt he has no memory of seeing before even though he'd given the Hogwarts related Quidditch shirts a thorough look see when in with Caerwyn this morning, Gus existed Krum's, a little time left to kill before meeting up with his friend again.

Exhausted (Wiggy)
Author: Phinfilius
Date:   03-04-13 21:49

Wiggy flops back on his bed, both physically and mentally tired. Shattered as some might say. He'd had a crack of dawn weight training session that all Puddlemere United team members were required to attend. He'd returned to Hogsmeade, meeting up with Jack for part of the second Hogsmeade weekend of the school year.

His time in the village had been enjoyable but short compared to most. All too soon it seemed to him he'd had to leave. Wiggy had regular practice and Puddlemere's coaching staff would probably take a dim view of an, "It was a Hogsmeade Saturday," excuse for skivving off practice. It would go over even less smashingly given his attendance at weight training. Wiggy viewed having to leave as being part of the responsibility he undertook when choosing to pursue a professional career while still a Hogwarts student. Better a few hours spent in good company having fun than none at all. Besides that, hard as it is, Quidditch practice with Puddlemere is something he finds immensely enjoyable.

Practiced ended at a time that meant Wiggy could return to Hogsmeade to be leisurely a bit longer before the time students had to be back on school grounds. That plan changed when Bradana sashayed up to Wiggy, freshly showered from the locker room, as was walking to the spot from where he generally disapparated.

With her mouth pursed in her version of a sexy pout, Bradana had inquired, "Are you over your grumpy mood? Ready to kiss and make up?"

"Bradana, I've told "

Running fingers lightly up his sleeve she coyly told him, "I have two different Christmas gifts for you. One is for if you're a good boy. The other is for if you're naughty. If you play it right, you get both."

"Bradana "

She stepped in closer to caress Wiggy's cheek even as he was stepping back from her. "I have some suggestions for what you could get me though you are, of course, free to get me whatever you'd like."

Grabbing her hand from his face, Wiggy reminded, "I've told you to leave me alone, Bradana."

"And I did. I gave you ample time to get over your mood. Why don't you come back to my place and I'll show you how much I've missed you."

Bradana stepped closer again, reaching up with her free and slipping it behind Wiggy's neck. Recoiling away, releasing the arm he held Wiggy snapped, "There's nothing between us Bradana and there never will be."

"It's one of those immature tarts at Hogwarts, isn't it? I can assure you she's not showing you half the good time I can. Let me show you what a bloody amazing time a real woman can give."

Wiggy hooked his duffle back to his shoulder then held both hands up, creating a barrier between Bradana and him. "I'm not interested. I've told you as much. Leave me be."

Putting on an injured air, Bradana's pout became more pronounced. "Playing hard to get is fine and all but you have to let me catch you at some point, otherwise where's the fun?"

Wiggy started to make a retort but bit it back. It wasn't any use protesting. No use ordering her to bugger off. She wasn't not going to listen. Heaving an exasperated sigh, Wiggy spun around, going back into the players, staff, and authorized personnel part of the stadium. Reaching the head coach's office he'd knocked, entering when invited.

Wiggy had laid out the problem for the coach, asking if there was some way to ban Bradana from the stadium and the immediate vicinity, explaining that after having one of his Hogwarts professors murdered by a stalker, he knows not to take this sort of thing lightly. Coach had nodded, "We can do that. We need to file a report with the Ministry though, make it official. You should get a restraining order again her as well."

Coach and Wiggy had gone to the Ministry right then, seeing no reason to delay. Being a Saturday and not being an immediately life threatening sort of problem, getting the paperwork for the requests filed took awhile. Someone, Wiggy wasn't sure who the person was, informed them that it might take a few days to serve her, as it was something the department preferred to do in person rather than by owl. That ensured that the person being served could not later claim to have never received the documents, which could be done if owled.

As they left the Ministry, Coach asked if Wiggy had a picture of Bradana. "That would make it easier to post the ban notice for employees. If they know what she looks like, it will be harder for her to get in."

That made Wiggy wonder if she's crazed enough to resort of using Polyjuice. He thought she just might be but prayed she isn't. "I have a couple she sent in letters. I can get one for you now."

"That's a good idea. I'll go back to the stadium and start working up the ban notice to post. Tomorrow, I'll bring it up with the team. If she's barred from you she might turn her attention to someone else. Come to think of it, after you get me that picture, I'll get letters off to the other team coaches. Could be once she finds herself unwelcome by Puddlemere, she'll spend her time at another stadium."

By the time Wiggy had gotten one of the pictures and returned to the Puddlemere United stadium and then helped Coach with getting everything done that needed it, he was exhausted. Returning to Hogwarts once more he was shocked to find it wasn't nearly as late as it felt. Too tired to even bother with supper Wiggy had gone to Gryffindor House then straight to his dorm. As he contemplates whether to expend energy changing into pajamas, a fragment of glittery white gift wrap that he thinks is supposed to give the illusion of gleaming snow catches his eye. That brings to mind the school gift exchange he'd signed up for again this year. Did he get a Secret Santa gift today or not? Wiggy is so weary he struggles to recall whether he had gotten Rylee Marks something or not. After more than a minute it comes to him. He did get a gift at the stadium gift shoppe. Rylee is seeker for Slytherin this term. The gift shoppe had snitch earrings that are held in place with magnets. That means it doesn't matter if Rylee's ears are pierced or not and, as Neala the gift shoppe clerk point out, there's no worry of pinching like some clip ons do. Wiggy has a single pierced ear in which he wears a simple stud. He knows nothing about clip ons or magnetic earrings so he was happy to take Neala's word for it.

With the matter of whether or not he'd purchased a Secret Santa gift today settled, Wiggy falls asleep, fully clothed and legs still hanging off the bed.
