What's The Appeal? (Hadrian & Hunter)
Author: Aaron Miller
Date:   03-03-13 09:59

Hadrian and his brother Hunter had begun the Hogsmeade Saturday at the bakery as they often do such trips. A number of friends were also there with many heading to Blossom's Gaming Center. Both Rabnott brothers needed to do a little shopping but as shopping, even for Christmas presents, is never the top priority unless it's Christmas Eve and there are presents left to get that their mother has told them to do on their own. Even then a game or two might be in order before the mad rush to find that last minute present.

After a few hours of various games, with some breaks for snacks, Hadrian and Hunter lunched together and put together a strategy for making inroads in their respective gift lists. At the top of their lists are gifts for the Hogwarts Secret Santa gift exchange with Hunter having drawn Evelyn Steele's name and Hadrian with Aleydis Vanderbilt's. Hunter also wants to find a gift for Sadie Mickle. If he can't find one for her today he'll have to go through those stacks of owl order catalogs littering the commons and his house common room so that he'll have the present in time to give it to her before the break.

The brothers both wishing they'd drawn a bloke's name are somewhat clueless on what to buy a girl. For each, having Heather as a sister is minimally helpful, particularly for Hadrian since Heather is only a third year and Aleydis is a sixth. Evelyn is at least a third year like their sister. Each knows their mother will help if it comes to that but she told them both they need to make an effort on their own first. Hadrian considered telling her he did and spending the rest of his day in Hogsmeade playing more games but Rachael Rabnott has long had a way of seeing through such fibs, especially ones brought about by what amounts to laziness.

Hadrian and Hunter decide to help each other, though neither is sure if putting their heads together on gifts for girls who are not relatives is going to make much of a difference to a successful outcome. After going up and down the lane to first see what's available the Rabnott brothers decide to return to a cart selling pajamas, nightgowns, slippers, and robes. Hadrian toys with getting Aleydis a pair of soft peach colored fleecy pajamas with a cutesy pattern of frolicking kittens but decides to hold off. If finds nothing else before needing to return to Hogwarts he'll come back for the pajamas. In the meantime he buys a pair for Heather that are a pastel blue and have bunnies on them. Heather's always gets annoyingly gooey when it comes to cute bunnies.

Hunter does buy something from the cart. There is a thick, fluffy green robe that promises to be warm for the wearer. On the one hand he thinks it a smidge boring as a gift but on the other hand, it's very nice and would be extremely comfortable for lounging around a common room or dorm. That it's green not all that dissimilar from the green of Slytherin is a plus as Evelyn Steele is a Slytherin. He is of the opinion that Evelyn might appreciate a color so suited to someone of that house.

A half hour later they emerge from Botanical's & Beyond where Hadrian and Hunter had just warmed up with some free sample tea and pooled their money on a gift for one of their grandmothers, a rich looking wooden box filled with various teas and that comes with two mugs. In front of the shoppe is a cart they'd looked over on their first trek up and down High Street. Stopping again, Hadrian eyes what the woman working the cart tells him is a vintage headband. After picking it up to give a closer inspection he decides this would be a much nicer gift to give Aleydis than peach pajamas.

Purchase made, Hunter and Hadrian consult their lists and continue on along the street, deciding it's high time for another snack. Deciding that a dozen biscuits or cake balls or biscuits balls, or a combination of them would be perfect, or perhaps even two dozen, they make for Briar's Bakery, each wondering what it is about shopping that many girls find so bloody appealing.

For a Cat Lover
Author: Marzipan
Date:   03-03-13 10:58

Marzi stepped out of Briar's Bakery with a steaming cup of hot cocoa in her gloved hand and shielded her eyes from the bright sun reflecting off of the snow on the ground. It had turned out to be a nice day, even though it wasn't exactly warm. It wouldn't be long before nightfall, however.

She had signed up to patrol the village for the latter half of the day, even though the thought of potentially running into Rita Skeeter made her feel a trifle uncomfortable. Marzi didn't want to be the subject of another one of the reporter's exposés, though perhaps her fifteen minutes of baseless infamy had already come and gone.

Nevertheless, Marzi kept her eyes wide open for any sign of the witch's bottle-blonde curls. It would seem a day like today might be a prime opportunity for conducting interviews, but so far there hadn't been a Rita Skeeter sighting, thank Merlin.

In addition to avoiding that irritating journalist and keeping an eye on the students as they enjoyed their day in the village, Marzi looked out for possible gifts for her family, friends, and Secret Santa. She had drawn Caerwyn Valentine's name.

Marzi considered Caerwyn a good student and well-behaved. He played Quidditch and was best friends with Augustus Hodfuffer. She knew he was the son of Julian Valentine, co-owner of the used book shoppe in the village, but she wasn't certain Caerwyn shared his father's love for old books. What she did know was that he was a cat lover.

She stepped into MacFusty's Pets and perused the cat section for something Caerwyn maybe didn't already have or could use more of, like kitty treats or toys. Marzi eventually found herself looking at a bin of catnip sticks, which were basically cloth tubes filled with catnip. They came in a variety of colors and patterns. She selected a handful and then looked around for something else to add to her gift.

She eventually came to the section on cat perches and found one that was somewhat different. It was a window perch. Marzi knew that cats liked to look out of windows. The perch in question was fairly simple and could be taken anywhere in the castle.

Pleased with her purchases and hopeful that Caerwyn would appreciate them, Marzi stepped out of the pet shoppe, juggling her shopping bags and the hot cocoa she had gotten from the bakery earlier. She swept her eyes around for any sign of trouble and then moved in the direction of the park.

Finding a Gift
Author: Roisin Rae McCray
Date:   03-03-13 11:04

Rosie had been encouraged, by a letter from her aunt, to partake in this year's Secret Santa. Reluctantly she agreed - when she had first arrived at Hogwarts she simply hoped to pass the days quietly and unnoticed. Aunt Cleona had been persistent, and she had no choice but to participate. And for a grand majority of the day she had searched tirelessly for a gift. She had tried Honeydukes, Dervish and Banges, Twice Told Tales, among other things.

She didn't know who this Lauren MacDougal, which made it difficult for gift-giving. She wasn't even in the Christmas spirit anyway. This would be the first Christmas without her father...her first Christmas since his murder. Shivers moved down her spine. She thought about her past Christmases, bout her past traditions. A quiet meow from her handbag brought her back to reality. She looked down. Her little ragdoll was cradled in the warmth of the bag, his little head resting on the folds of the opening. Percy looked up at her through hungry eyes.

"Lets go find us something to eat." She said, moving a finger to rub underneath his ear. She looked around and was relieved to see Briar's Bakery close by. It was her only her second time at Hogsmeade and so she found it difficult to recall the exact location of the shops. She opened the door and for a moment stood just inside the threshold, shocked. She found herself looking at the form of Uncle Ailbe.

He looked at her and a smile appeared across his face. "Oh," he spoke in his cheery voice, "I was hoping to run into you."

He approached her and ripped off a piece of his biscuit. He gave it Percy, who took it greedily. He handed the rest to Rosie. After she finished eating it, she again looked to her uncle and thought over his words. I was hoping to run into you. By the sound of the words he meant it, and had something planned - he always had a plan. And knowing that in itself foiled her plans to meet with Walter.

Uncle Ailbe remained silent, obviously hoping that she would inquire about his presence. When she said nothing, he asked:

"How goes the gift searching?"

"Not good. I'm not sure how to begin. I've learned that she's a first year Gryffindor. And that's it. I really don't know how we're supposed to do this without knowing the slightest about the person."

"Hmm..." Uncle Ailbe said, stroking his chin as though he had an invisible beard. His face lit up after a moment, as though an idea of genius suddenly hit him. He reached into his brown bag and pulled out a red, leather bound book. "This here is the first in a new series, The Cornwall Mysteries. It's about a muggle and a wizard joining forces in Cornwall. The first book, I think, is a great introduction to the series." He laughed. "And I should know - I wrote it! This book, by the way, isn't due out until Spring and so this should be a great gift for the Secret Santa nonsense." He reached down into his bag and pulled out another copy. "Oh and here is one for you."

(Arielle) In the Hospital Wing
Author: Jolyon
Date:   03-03-13 12:34

Arielle rolled over onto her side and threw her arm over her face. The sun filtering in through the Hospital Wing's windows had started to shift from a bright yellow to a glowing orange. Right now, the beam of sunlight fell directly onto her face, making it difficult for her to keep her eyes open without feeling blinded.

She had gone to the Hospital Wing last night before supper, feeling somewhat dizzy. Madam Pomfrey had determined that Arielle had a fever and had fed her a nasty-tasting potion that had not made her feel the least bit better, though it had lowered her body temperature a little bit. When morning came, Arielle woke up feeling extremely congested.

She spent the entire day lying in bed, getting up only to use the loo, and only sitting up to take the porridge and broth Madam Pomfrey insisted she eat for breakfast and lunch, respectively. Arielle didn't have much of an appetite, but she ate every bite of both meals under the school nurse's stern gaze.

Madam Pomfrey approached the side of Arielle's bed. The first year Gryffindor student could hear the swishing of the nurse's robes grow nearer and smelled some sort of healing salve once Madam Pomfrey stood next to Arielle's iron-framed bed. She cracked open an eye and noticed that the school nurse blocked the setting sun. Her outline glowed yellow-orange.

Madam Pomfrey handed over a large package. "This arrived for you. You don't look quite so pale, so I don't think it will do you any harm if you look at it now."

Arielle sat up and took the package from Madam Pomfrey's hands. "Thank you," she murmured. The package was from her mother and contained a small note as well as the gift Arielle had ordered for Hadrian Rabnott for the Hogwarts Secret Santa gift exchange.

Arielle had had no idea who Hadrian was, but after a bit of investigating had discovered he was seventh year in Ravenclaw House. Other than him playing on the Quidditch team, Arielle knew nothing about him. It was very difficult trying to find a gift for a boy, and an older one at that. It was even more difficult trying to find a gift for an older boy one didn't even know.

Arielle had spent quite some time looking through gift catalogues. After second guessing herself many times, she finally settled on a hollow book. She liked it because it looked like a real book on the outside, but inside it didn't consist of pages and words. It had a big hole cut in the middle, meant to store something special or secret. Arielle thought everybody could use something like a hollow book, because everybody had something they held dear or wanted to keep just to themselves.

Arielle inspected the hollow book for Hadrian and found it even more nice in person. She didn't have any wrapping paper with her in the Hospital Wing and wasn't sure she had the energy to wrap up his gift at the moment anyway. She tucked it back into the box her mother had owled it in and then slipped the package under her bed, which was a feat in and of itself. Exhausted, Arielle threw herself back onto her pillow and covered her eyes again, though the sun had already moved a bit more across the room.

(Asher) Not Much Thought Given
Author: Jolyon
Date:   03-03-13 12:36

The Slytherin common room wasn't exactly full at the moment, but it wasn't very empty either. The comfortable, overstuffed armchairs and sofas were all taken, leaving Asher and Malden no other option other than to sit at one of the available tables in the room. They found one near one of the windows that looked out under the lake and glowed slightly green.

Asher had a small box in his hand, which he set on the table, along with an old copy of the newspaper and some spellotape. This morning, his mother had owled him a small package containing a gift for his Secret Santa person. Asher had entered his name into the gift exchange program hoping to get a really nice gift himself. He was the sort who much preferred receiving gifts rather than giving them.

The name he had drawn was Glori Hodfuffer. Asher recognized her name because she had played keeper in the first Quidditch match, the one in which Gryffindor had cheated their way into beating Slytherin. That was Asher's opinion, because how else could Gryffindor have beaten Slytherin, the best team at Hogwarts?

Not bothering to find out more about Glori, like what year she was in and what her interests were, Asher had simply opened up a catalogue to a random page, closed his eyes, and stabbed his wand at something. The object turned out to be a pendant shaped like a telescope, and it actually worked as one too, though it didn't have much range. The pendant came on a brass chain and wasn't very fancy, but it wasn't too cheap either.

The necklace came in a simple, midnight blue jewelry box and sat on a bed of velvet, making the gift seem a whole lot nicer. Maybe Glori actually liked Astronomy, but if she didn't, oh well.

Asher wrapped up the jewelry box with the newspaper and taped it together with an excessive amount of spellotape. Malden said the gift didn't look festive enough, so Asher found some green ribbon to tie around the box. The end result wasn't much of an improvement, but if anything, Glori would be able to notice that a boy had done the gift-wrapping.

Not Fair (Alastor & Daniel)
Author: Aaron Miller
Date:   03-03-13 12:56

Picking up a tiny little bed for a pygmy puff Alastor grumbles for about the twentieth time since lunch, "I can't believe you aren't having to agonize over a Secret Santa present."

Daniel shrugs as he's done the previous nineteen times, unapologetically saying this time, "I can't help that Mum jumped in to help before I could tell her to hold off."

"So what exactly is this gift Aunt Bonnie sent? You never said." Though Bonnie Blackstone Gelson is actually more of a cousin by marriage, all the younger members of the extended Wenlock family refer to the parents of those near their own ages as aunt and uncle.

"Mum being Mum wanted to know immediately whose name I drew. She's nosy that way. When I let her know I needed to get a Secret Santa for Professor Jones I got an owl the next afternoon telling me she'd taken care of it. She said, and I quote what she wrote, 'That poor dear must be so stressed after that horrible Skeeter woman wrote about her.' So, Mum got Professor Jones a massive spa basket and a spa day at some place near Bath."

"You think there's any truth to what was in that article? Or any of the others?"

"It's no secret about Professor Somerset but I don't know about the others. Does it really matter if Professor Hodfuffer was in one fight once or if Professor Jones kissed someone who turned out to be married. The way that reporter twists things, for all we know it was a kiss on the cheek or that fight was when Professor Hodfuffer was seven."

"You have a point."

"Anyway, I think because of the way Rita Skeeter turns things all around and makes things from years ago sound recent, Mum isn't of the mindset that Professor Jones is some loose bint with no morals."

"It's still not right that you haven't had to be worked up about what to get or take the easy road and get her a telescope or a star chart." Sticking the pygmy puff bed back where it goes he says, "Time to move on. Nothing here in Zonko's, or Weasley's, or whatever you want to call it, seems right for anyone on my list. Well, maybe a few joke items for Jasper but I'd have to redo the packaging so he'd not recognize he was getting Hilari-Tea or U-No-Poo."

As they move towards the exit Daniel remarks, "I've often wished I wasn't an only child but at times, after being around you giving Jasper a hard time or Liannah bitching about Marlow and Lauren, I don't mind it as much."

Three shoppes later Daniel asks, "Whose name did you say you got?"

"Rowan Westwick."

"Isn't she one of the transfers at start of term who didn't go through Sorting?"

"Yeah. She's in the same house as Liannah so I asked about that. Liannah doesn't know why Rowan or her sister didn't go through the Sorting when everyone else did; but, she did say Rowan seems decent. She told me what she could to help me get an idea of the sort of gift to give but it wasn't all that much really."

"What did Liannah say?"

Alastor fills Daniel in, which takes all of a minute or two, before asking, "Any suggestions?"

"Ummm, she's fourteen, maybe fifteen, right? So something a girl might think is pretty or cute?"

"That's half of everything in Hogsmeade, at least."

Not sure of what else to say Daniel holds open a Honeydukes bag filled with a candies made of cashews, caramel, and chocolate. "Nut cluster?"

They've made their way through that bad and one of chewy peppermints Alastor had gotten when Alastor holds up a necklace. "It's got a rowanberry or rowan leaf or something in it. You think a girl called Rowan might like it?"

"I don't see why not unless she's had lots of people giving her gifts every year that are related somehow to the rowan tree."

"What about this too?" Alastor has picked up a delicate looking bracelet with a tag indicate the beads represent rowanberries.

"I think a lot of girls would think it's pretty."

"They're on sale so I'll get them both. She has to like at least one of them, right?"

As both boys do have other gifts they should be buying they continue their stroll along High Street until reaching Blossom's Gaming Center. Deciding that it's beyond time for another games break, they head in thinking to play a round of wizarding paint ball.

Shopping With The Kids (Aaron & Jasper)
Author: Aaron Miller
Date:   03-03-13 13:59

Aaron had had village patrol duty this morning, exactly opposite of Saffron. She'd spent the morning with the kids, letting them "help" her shop, wanting them to have input on what they got Aaron, what to get Papa Lo and Birdie, and Saffron's other family members. They met for lunch, Saffron somehow convince Niccola and Brandon that they did not want Burger Wizard but wanted to go to the Crown & Cauldron instead. Saffron and the kids ahd filled Aaron in on what gifts they'd gotten, except for what they'd picked for him though Nic in chatterbox mode nearly came close to spilling.

When lunch ended Saffron went on patrol duty while Aaron took the kids to see what ice cream might be had Botanicals & Beyond, if any. If there hadn't been any, he'd had a backup plan but they were in luck. What's more, the place offers mini sized cones for little hands. While there they also looked around with gifts. Aaron's long list includes his parents, aka Grandma and Grandpa, and his sister and her family. They are all people that Nic and Bran can help pick gifts for if they wish, though just as Saffron did he has to take some of their suggestions with a grain of salt. Aaron doesn't think Aunt Natalie really wants an interesting twisted knot looking smoking pipe.

Also on Aaron's list is the person to whom he's giving a Secret Santa gift. Aaron drew the name of second year Willow Westwick. Unlike her classmates, Aaron is far more aware of Willow's background, as are all the professor's. That does not, however, aid him in selecting a gift she'll like. As a second year, she's not in his Muggle Studies, and even if she were eligible for it, she might not have elected to signed up for it. He'd ended up quizzing his little cousin, Amorica, who happens to be one of Willow's roommates. Thanks to her, he at least has an idea of sizes and a few of her dislikes and her likes.

Coming across a pair of winter boots in Willow's size that he knows Saffron would deem to be too cute he holds them up for his recently turned four year old daughter to see. "What do you think, Nic?"

"Get dem for me."

"They aren't your size."

"No?"

"No, but I think these are." Aaron shows her a pair of books that look like pink ponies.

"I like dose, Daddy. Pleeeeeease?"

"Let's try them on first." Aaron kneels down to help her, casting one eye on Brandon to make sure his curiosity doesn't have him toddling off. If he gets too interested in venturing afar, Aaron will have to put the boy back in the stroller. "Okay, walk around, Nic."

"Do they pinch? Feel too tight?"

"No."

"Okay, here's the deal. I promised you one more birthday present. Do you want these boots or look more? If you want to keep looking but you don't see anything else you want, we'll come back for these?"

Nic turns very serious, her face scrunching up in concentration. At length she announces, "Look more."

Knowing his daughter as he does, Aaron would be shocked if Nic doesn't find twenty more things today she thinks she needs. Because of that, he plans on coming back later to buy the pink pony boots as one of her Christmas presents, unless there are other things out there she wants more that is. He'll also need to consult with Saffron to find out what sort of list she put together for the kids when they were together this morning.

After helping Niccola take the boots off, Aaron scoops up Brandon, grabs the boots for Willow Westwick, and pushes the stroller to checkout, Nic prancing along beside him. The child has far too much energy for this time of day and not having had a nap. At least neither of them are cranky.

Coming up in line right behind Aaron is one of his Wenlock cousins, Jasper. Recognizing him Nic unabashedly gives him a hug, not realizing that just because he's her cousin he might not want to be profusely hugged and showered in the slobbery kisses of a four year old, and especially not in public. With his hands full Aaron can't reach out to grab her so instead says, "Nic, that's enough."

Jasper grins and shakes his head. "It's all right. I don't mind that much."

Nic shoots Aaron a look that screams, "You're an idiot, Dad."

If she's capable of such looks at four Aaron does not want to even contemplate what she'll be capable of when she hits her teens. In an even tone he says to her, "One hug and kiss was enough, Nic. Jasper didn't need a kissy slobber bath."

This elicits a giggle from Brandon who starts blowing his lips and making kissing sounds in hopes of creating even more drool than he usually has oozing out. How a one and a half year can drool as much as Brandon does, particularly as he's getting some new teeth, without dehydrating is beyond Aaron.

Aaron puts Brandon in the stroller in case he needs to reel Nic back in now that she's trying to peer into some of the bags Jasper has. "Nic, leave Jasper's things alone."

"Daaa-aaad."

"They aren't your business."

"It's okay, really," Jasper assures. "Are those boots for one of the cousins?"

"Secret Santa. Did you sign up?"

"Yes, sir," Jasper says, knowing that he doesn't have to be as polite to Aaron out of school as in but it sometimes it's just easier. "I got Johanna Steele's name."

He sets down his bags and the pair of shoes he's in line to pay for, then digs in one of the bags to pull out a box. "You might think this is pretty, Nic."

Jasper opens the box to reveal a decorated egg on a pedestal. The egg opens to reveal a tiny figure inside that turns and dances to music. Nic oohs and aahs over it so much Aaron ends up asking Jasper where he got it. Either she'll want a similar music box as her promised last birthday present or it's one more thing to add to the possible Niccola Christmas gift lift.

Uninspiring But Generous
Author: Viktor Krum
Date:   03-03-13 15:18

The workshop has gone well. A few first years have greatly improved their flying and are starting to look as if they have actual coordination playing Quidditch. As the day progressed a few attendees dropped out here and there, most notably after lunch. With the cold and lightly falling snow Viktor can't say he blames them. They come voluntarily to his workshops and as such he doesn't hold them to any obligation to stick it out for the duration.

As the sun starts to dip towards the horizon, with a promise of sunset more than fifteen minutes before four o'clock, and as the temperature falls with it Viktor thinks it's an excellent time to call a halt to the workshop. "That's it, everyone. Thank you for coming. If you are using a school broom please be sure to return it."

He's soon flocked by students, some to return brooms, others just wanting to thank him and those who assisted today. He reminds those who helped that he owes them all drinks and for any who have the time he'll buy supper a bit later this evening. The showers in the locker room are available for any who want to make use of them before they walk to Hogsmeade.

After returning brooms to the storage room, Viktor makes use of the showers and changes into jeans and sweater over which he dons a coat. He also grabs a small box from his desk that he'd meant to put under the tree in the Common Commons this morning before the workshop. Begging his friends for the few minutes it takes to go to the castle and back, Viktor takes care of his errand then rejoins his friends.

Like many on staff Viktor once again chose to participate in the present swap known as Secret Santa. Not only can he expect to receive a gift but he must give one. Viktor had drawn the name of Arthur Fu, a fourth year Slytherin whom he very much hopes is a sports fan. Viktor is giving Arthur a gift certificate to Krum's Completely Quidditch, which does have gear and merchandise for other sports but it is heavily Quidditch themed as the name implies. While some might think a gift certificate for the shoppe he owns rather uninspiring, and in a way it is, the certificate is good for any one item Arthur might want, no matter the cost. Viktor thinks that's extremely generous of him.

As his friends and he exit the school grounds they are debating whether to get drinks at the Leaky Cauldron, which is sure to be busy with students, the bar at the Hogshead Inn, or the Hogshead Pub where there should be few students, if any. The decide on the pub and also decide they will go over the dinner options once there with drinks in front of them. The rest of the walk consists of the usual debates over which Quidditch teams worldwide are looking the best this season.

(Azaelia) Table for Two
Author: Isolde
Date:   03-03-13 17:31

Now that night had fallen, the romantic ambience at Madam Puddifoot's became even more prominent. Candlelight at each of the cozy tables did little to light up the very dim room. The fragrance of roses, tea and decadent sweets permeated the air.

Azaelia shared a cozy table with her husband Robert. The table was so small they bumped knees. They laughed each time it happened and wondered how many couples left the tea room with bruises from accidental bumps and kicks.

A small, pink pot of strawberry chocolate tea stood in the center of the table. To Azaelia, the tea had a stronger, though very subtle chocolate flavor. She hardly tasted any strawberries at all. For Robert, it was the exact opposite.

"So, did you get your shopping done?" Robert asked.

"No," Azaelia replied with a laugh. "I looked for something for everybody on my Christmas list and only bought something for my Secret Santa."

Robert feigned a disappointed expression. "No presents for me?"

"Have you been a good boy?" Azaelia asked, quirking one of her perfectly arched eyebrows.

"Well…" Robert began, an impish grin spreading across his face. "Maybe not entirely." He winked at her, and she giggled.

"So, what did you get your Secret Santa?" Robert asked, growing serious again, "and why didn't we have Secret Santa when we were in school?"

"Isolde said it started during her seventh year," Azaelia replied. She reached for the small shopping bag next to the leg of her chair and raised it into her lap.

"I got Eden Jenkins," Azaelia explained. "She's a third year in Hufflepuff. The thing about being the school librarian is I don't really get to know the students the way the teachers do, except for the ones who visit the library all the time and always ask me for books."

Robert nodded. "I guess that might make it hard to find the perfect gift, only it sounds like you had an easier time finding her something than you did the people you actually know!"

Azaelia stuck her tongue out at him. "I found these super cute coin purses at one of those pop-up tables this morning. I couldn't decide on which one to get, so I got her two. They look completely different, and maybe she could use two in case she wants to keep one on her all the time and use the other to store extra money in her trunk or some place. What do you think?"

She pulled out both coin purses to show Robert. He shrugged and said, "It looks like something a girl might like."

Azaelia rolled her eyes again and put them back into the shopping bag. She put the bag back at her feet and asked, "Should we get a slice of cake to go?"

"Definitely."
